Very interesting there's all this scholarship activity w/ Ayo Dosunmu while Charlie Moore's on the verge of a decision. Just saying......... Love this guy (insert sarcasm here)

Considering one is a 2016 & one a 2018, that is really a pretty stupid comment by our buddies @prepbullseye

i could see it, Irvins say ok prove you're loyal and offer this kid right now. Then we push Charlie your way. That seems reasonable.

Ayo Dosunmu may end up being rated higher than Charlie by the time he's a senior. Nobody needs to be pushing schools to offer him, plenty already have and will. This is just another stupid comment by RS.

Exactly. Dosunmu could probably be considered the second best prospect in Illinois right now for 2018. Offering him early, especially when he plays for an AAU program that you have a relationship with, is a no-brainer.

So, official visits to LSU and SMU. He unofficially visited Illinois a couple times before.


And he's talked about another visit to Illinois later this spring. Just hope they don't get him to commit while he's at LSU or SMU.

A 2018 offer means pretty much nothing at this point. But it does allow the player to advertise the offer, get added publicity, attract more interest from recruiting services and analysts, and hopefully land more offers in the future.

This offer is just further validation that Irvin/MP and Illinois are in close communication. Smart move.

It makes the most sense for his to plan his visits this way. With that being said, this is the only way Moore could respond to a question about his visits. If he said maybe, or no, then that would be an indirect way of saying that Illinois is eliminated. Also, we've seen first hand that recruits can commit on their visits even with other visits scheduled. Right now, it's sounding like we have a solid chance of landing him though. Just got to hope that LSU or SMU doesn't give him an offer he can't refu$e.

it's seems the commonly used verbiage is "plans to", as where "definitely" is more encouraging to me. At any rate, you are correct about what happens to the best laid plans.
