No, Hardy was not expected to lose. Nor Lipparelli, though that one was more possible.

I guess what I meant was, for the last hour it's looked like those matches were going to put us in a 2-1 hole.

In the meanwhile, Raza is in the water on 16 so Charlie has a great chance to square up his match. Meyer's on the green in 3 at the par-5 15th but not overly close to the pin, while Wise is in the back bunker after going for the green in 2.

Danielson's squared his match up, though, so that's a plus.

Danielson's got a bunker shot just to save par on 17, but Meyer just evened it back up on 16! Raza's chip wasn't good, so Danielson's got a good shot at keeping it even if he can get up and down for bogey from the bunker.

I agree. Individual National champ (who is a great player) plays on his home course and 20th ranked team possibly going to the finals because it plays on its home course. This is a greater advantage than Ryder Cup for certain. There is no home state advantage because crowds are sparse, but why play on a team's home course? Bandon Dunes anyone?

Going right down to the wire. Need a couple lucky breaks and/or fantastic shots in these last 4 holes.

Danielson couldn't save par from the bunker -- one down headed to the 18th.

not quick enough...

Really really hope Charlie can find a way to pull off a win in his match. Meyer and Lipparelli have been awesome today keeping up with two top guys.

I'm guessing on this, but I assume the NCAA wants a host school that is good at the sort to run the event. Not good to have s weak staff running the championships. Assume that is how Oregon got this at home

Agreed. Total BS that Oregon (inferior team) gets to play on their home course. Nothing taken away from Wise, hell of a player but gets to win the national championship on his home course that he's played a million times as well as compete in to win a team national championship at home. I'm sure this would look a lot different if this was in champaign at Orange and Blue. Feels a lot like last year all over again
