As had been previously mentioned on this board, John has already had OV's to Purdue and Oklahoma.

Which means he only has 2 OV's left for 3 teams. Maybe he doesn't waste an OV on Minnesota? Many OV's will be announced in the next month or so. It will be interesting how Groce schedules them.

Elijah Thomas publicly said Illinois was the favorite multiple times.

Yeah, we've had guys say that Illinois was high on their list, or even tops, now and then as recruiting went on. Frazier is the only guy I can recall who, from the very first time I heard him mentioned as a target, or saw any quotes from, said "Illinois is #1". Most guys don't ever say a single school is at the top of the list, because they don't want to put off anyone else. Frazier has been all Illinois from the very beginning and I've never seen him waver. That doesn't come along very often. Sounds like the kind of guy who would end up bleeding O&B.

An interesting tweet...

Am beginning to wonder if it could be two exciting Mondays in a row for the Univ Of Illinois recruiting-wise. We shall see...

This tweet was mysteriously deleted by Monday evening when it was, of course, not happening. I asked why it was deleted and got blocked... probably for the best. Those two are the thinnest-skinned babies around the IL HS bball scene. It's truly sad.

Hilariously, they continued to go on after the Tilmon commitment about others local recruiting gurus being so wrong about an April commitment when Tilmon himself confirmed that he almost sprung then, but backed off. Of course, many of those they criticize actually had access to Tilmon, getting interviews, quotes, etc. in their stories on the commitment, while they ran a recap piece any message board hero could have penned.

Moral of the story: best to ignore those fools.

For those of us who remember the trainwreck they were the last month or two of the Alexander recruitment, they're just pitiful. If they told me my name was Mike, I'd look at my ID to make sure.

I think we've moved on from Christian Negron but he's been putting up some pretty good numbers in the FIBA Americas Tournament. Lot better than his AAU stats.

Larkin Basketball ‏@LarkinBBall 19h19 hours ago Great effort by Christian Negron in PR's loss to the loaded 18u USA team. 23 pts, 13 rebs, 3 ast, 1 steal. Game high in points and rebounds.

Negron this past week has been training and scrimmaging in Argentina with the Puerto Rico U-18 national team in preparation for Tuesday's FIBA Americas Tournament in Chile.
He led Puerto Rico with 18 points and 12 rebounds in Wednesday's 70-68 loss to Argentina. In earlier games at Puerto Rico, he recorded another double-double.

Is it bad I just realized your name isn't "Mike the Elevator?"

haha, you aren't the first -- (eh, TC?) No bad, just shows you might not be a huge blues fan. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I always liked Taj Mahal's recording the best

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=john+the+revelator

tons of versions, very few bad ones.:thumb: Some of the bands I was in back in the 70s maybe.:)

(Although I have to add, there's a number of versions listed here I've never heard and a few I'm afraid to listen to, but great song all in all. And my second fave Son House song after Death Letter Blues. That one still gives me shivers after hundreds of listens, but mikethedeathletter didn't seem like a very good board name.)
