I really didn't expect the Illini to win this one but being non-competitive is really an embarrassment. No half time adjustments, no answer for Huggins press. This one is on John Gross and his ill prepared staff. He should be gone but Tilman is saving him for another year.

On that point, I find it hard to believe there are posters making excuses for these abortions we've watched this season, and going back at least 2 of the past 3 years, assuming you give a complete and total pass for last year.

But they do, and will probably will continue to do so. If watching us play good teams doesn't convince you we're on the wrong path, nothing will.

This is not a tournament team....usually we look like world beaters in pre conference and then collapse during big ten play. We will have 4 losses or more before big ten play and then we have a very tough first seven games in the big. Cant imagine 4 straight years with no NCAA and coach remains.....then again I thought 3 wasn't possible. Embarrassing!!!!! We are a bottomfeeder program.

That was original. Play volleyball amongst yourselves with the rebound until you tip it to the one WVU guy still hanging around and then stand around and watch him jam it. That pretty much sums it up for this one.

This team is a joke, and I don't think they should be. Coming on the heels of the meltdown loss to Winthrop, I think it's easy to see that we are watching the end of the John Groce era.

Nah, they get scholarships, and the coach gets million$. The joke is on the fans.

Well I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt the last couple years due to massive injuries. No excuses this year with a completely healthy team with lots of veterans. Barring a massive turnaround, it's time for a change.

I'll go with 14-17, Groce firing, Coleman-Lands transfers and we hire Dan Muller or Steve Masiello as our next coach. Either way we might not be relivant again at any point in the near future. I know our next recruiting class is promising, but outside of tilmon it's just the same type of guys that make up our current roster. Pathetic.

I believe WVU is schooling with similarly ranked talent.

Couldn't disagree more. We have some decent players, just a sucky team. Hope like heck that if there's a change we make pull out the check book and convince a fiery coach with some chops to bring back some excitement. At this point, I'd settle for losing if we could just friggin compete.

Talent level (mostly) doesn't seem to be the issue here. It's coaching. No preparation.
