Has our fan base soured on Finke? I remember a time on here when we couldn't wait for him to get on the floor as a red shirt. Even at the start of the season it seemed like a net positive...now it seems like people don't even want him on the floor

It seems that teams play with smaller lineups so often now. It's hard to defend with bigger guys like Morgan and Finke. I'm sure match ups will be more favorable in some games.
Why didn't TJL play. I was expecting big playing time as he has the speed and quickness to match up against the CM studs....
Does anyone know why TJL did not play?

Amazing how much better a coach Groce is with Abrams and Black on the team.

He shortened the rotation today. It obviously worked.

Good game for the Illlini, glad to see we held Keene below his average along with 5 turnovers. Onto win #9!

If we win the next two, go above .500 in conference and win a game in BTT we'll be sitting at 21-11 at worst. We won't have to worry about the committee at all in that scenario IMO.

I don't think that's the answer.
We cleared the bench, and yet still skipped (IMHO) our #9 and #10 guys in the rotation. I'm quite sure a message was being sent.

I didn't receive an email, but when going back to the subscription page it now says "Access Through" the end date (instead of Next Bill Date).

Can certainly see shortening the rotation at some point. But with a 20+ point lead for about half the game, nope, don't buy it.

Best collective effort of the year...both sides of the ball.
Bigs played to their size, dominated the boards, 49-25. Finke, Thorne and Mav all aggressive.. Mav looked engaged and aware...not sure why that isn't always the case.
Abrams continues to light up the 3 ball. He's so patient and poised, changing pace, picking his spots, letting game come to him. Playing the best he ever has.. add to that Black, who's automatic with mid-range game, and an ever improving Thorne, coming back to form little by little....you've got three guys not able to play last year that are making a difference.
Ball movement was excellent...very few poor decisions or rushed shots, or ISO ball. Hill still does it a little too often for me, but overall, guys were sharing it and making the extra pass.
Nice game plan by Groce on D. CMU has 2 very explosive guards, both built like NFL running backs, with sweet strokes. Groce gave them different looks, put Hill on Keene for stretches which was effective...nice job for most part.
Most complete game of the year....something to build off of...with a couple more games to get fine tuned for B1G.

He seems to playing hesitant and doesn't trust his shot anymore. One play this game he had a wide open look from 3 but pump faked and tried to drive instead. Ended up traveling.
Something that was pointed out by the announcers is Groce seemed to be rotating in Finke/Thorne and Black/Mav together. Obviously mixed it up a little but that seemed to be a heavy part of the rotation.
