It's nice to have that extra scholarship going forward. Maybe in a few years he'll earn one.

Hopefully after his first year we'll feel compelled to offer a scholarship due to his impressive performance.

Welcome to the O&B Mr. McPunter!!! May you kick long and prosper!!

If you believe in field position football, there's no more important person than the punter.

OK, that's an exaggeration. But try disagreeing when a punt goes 20 yards beyond the line of scrimmage and dribbles out of bounds, leaving your opponent on your thirty yard line.

This may be a dumb question, but how does the preferred walk on thing work? Is there a limit to how many we can take? How is it determined if and when they get a scholarship? Do they have to sign a loi?

They do not have to sign an LOI, and they are not guaranteed a scholarship. They walk on, and if schollies are available, they can receive one

Was hoping Taylor would get the 2018 class started this weekend, hopefully it happens in the next few weeks

Sounding like Patterson to VT today.

Would have loved to get him, but I really do like Taylor better at QB.

I'm not a huge fan of Patterson. Well the film I've seen of him. It's like 90% running 10% passing.

The prototype QB it seems they are looking for is a duel threat but maybe more throwing and less running/when necessary.

So an athlete at QB? Yes. But to me Patterson is strictly an option QB. With minimal throwing capacity.

Taylor and Elby look like "passers who can also run" not "a runner who can pass a little"

Just my 2 cents.

Thomas Sirk transferring from Duke for last year of eligibility. Article

251/427 for 2624 yards (58.8%, 6.1 Y/A) and 16 TD to 8 Int, as well as 809 rushing yards (8 tds) on 163 rushes in 2016. Would be a really nice 5th year option. Probably the best available.

Those are his 2015 numbers, didn't play in 2016 after second significant achilles injury. Do agree that he is one of the best available, but has serious injury concerns.

Yeah Patterson to VT. We were late to the party anyway.
