I'm optimistic about Tilmon. From day 1 he committed to Illinois. Not any one coach.

I think slu's 5 fans need to be more worried about their coach leaving for Mizzou...

Fans of @SaintLouisMBB have to be thinking what does Illinois recruit Jeremiah Tilmon do now? Corey Tate has a great relationship with him.

Growing up in STL, I always thought Frank was a reputable source and great reporter. Then I heard he would coach his sons youth teams and would have his sons specifically cherry pick to pad stats. Now I think he should eat dirt

Not quite the first thing I thought he should eat.

Once Coach is announced, look for Smith to commit after the IHSA finals are over...

Tilmon, Pickett, Williams, Frazier, Smith Top 8 Class

Jordan/Williams transfer out? I think they both stay due to playing time possibilities and positions of need, Williams more so than Jordan, but Jordan's seem to love the ILLINI, so he stays also.

Hire Miller and sign up Brian Bowen and Taylor Bruninga as well to the class.

0 doubt firing Groce was the best thing for us in the Mark Smith saga

Couldn't be further from the truth. Had Whitman come out today and said they were retaining Groce, Smith was Illinois to have. Not saying they still can't get him, but your statement is factually wrong

I was on board until you added Bruninga. Lol. What offers does he have?

The kid can play, just because he has no high offers, shouldn't preclude us from looking at him.

Good solid player, mobile, can handle the ball, shoots it very well, runs the floor, and provides another inside good bench player as a freshman. Minutes would not be needed for his level unless earned, who knows maybe he turns into the next Augustine or Griffey...either way we could use that kid I think. Vanderbilt is inquiring as was Northern Iowa, Rice, Illinois State etc..

The point is we could use inside help, we have a ton of guard/wings/ why not bring on some talent and let him develop with a new coach...hell maybe we even get lucky with another Lucas Johnson type?

Who else is watching this Orr vs Mt Carmel game? Should be a good one. Raekwon Drake is balling early on.

Raekwon is a player. Henricksen said last year when he was a soph that he was the most exciting big man in Chicago. Orr is even quicker than I remembered when I saw them earlier in the year.
