The last time we had as much angst over a recruit was when Tilmon didn't sign the LOI until the last day. He seemed to have a lot of fun teasing the fans. Hope this is the same.

Is it really that big of a problem to have too many wing players? Kipper Nichols seems more like an athletic 4 from here on out. Its never a bad thing to have more than 1 good ball handler on the court at once anyway.

It is so unfortunate he suffered this injury. He improved so much over the summer and finally found the Alpha in him. I believe he would've had a huge Senior season. I don't think that red shirting him would be a terrible idea but his people don't want that. They know that he could contribute somewhere immediately.

He may be able to contribute at a small school right away. He doesn't want that, Frank doesn't want that. He wants to come to Illinois. Unless he really dislikes BU, he will be here next year. Its way to early to be able to tell when he will be ready to play, ACL recoveries are always different with each individual.

Keep having an image of a lineup of JCL, TF, DaW, MS, and Tilmon. Would have to be based on speed but it is equivalent to the Dee era in size. Don't want to lose any of the recruits. Let BU wrestle with who gets the time. Practices would be brutal as JCL, LB, MF, and KN will not back off. And if AJ and DJ go to work over the summer it will be very difficult to project the starting lineup.

Does anybody know where I can find a Mizzou message board? All I could find was Tigerboard and that seemed very poorly designed so I gave up.

That 3 guard line-up would be amazing. And the rotation of it would be just as incredible.

TJL, Mark Smith, Damonte, Frazier can all handle the ball and score. JCL is kind of the odd man out in my opinion because he can't handle the ball or create his own shots.

Damonte and Smith are big physical guards. Frazier and TJL would complement them with their finesse style, I really hope it all works out.

Still not convinced TJL can score. Smith and Frazier much better scoring PG's. JCL will never be the odd man out.

Ugh, Tigerboard is the same format as that awful UVA board we visited for a bit there, except it's got a way worse palette.

Tigerboard is even worse than UVA. It might be the worst looking website I have ever seen. I don't know how anyone uses that thing.

Tiger board is one of the more famous school sites. The format is a classic. Reminiscent of every team board in the early 00s, except everyone else changed and they didnt.

I don't know why I do this to myself but here we go again.

I was told Monday night that Damonte will be ready to go on August 1st. They are also aware of the logjam at the Guard position. The possible additions of Mark Smith and Carroll could make it even more crowded. I was told that if Illinois plans to redshirt Damonte he will be going somewhere else. I really hope this does not happen.

I think they would only red shirt him because he is not ready physically. And I would hope that Demonte could accept if he is not truly ready to play.

Dial up was a classic too. So was AOL. Doesn't mean you should keep it. Terrible format.

I feel like you need to have handles in this offense and his are pretty loose.

JCL's ball handling is shockingly bad. He's got good vision, but I don't know how anyone watched him dribble in high school and thought, "future Power 5 point guard." I guess it was just projecting based on size and athleticism.

On the other hand, I've been pleasantly surprised by his motor and defensive improvement. He's also a sneaky good rebounder. You could argue that he's the only player on the team with a legit NBA level skill (shooting). He's definitely got a spot in the rotation no matter the system, but hopefully he can tighten his handle and really blossom.

I still see TJL in the lineup. You can't only look at offense. He makes too much of a defensive impact. Also you want to balance your lineup a bit so you don't have all the scorers getting tired at the same time.

Time will tell and it will be a great problem to have some competition at the point for a change. I also realize this will be a completely different system, but after watching the passing display by TJL in some of these games late in the season, I have a hard time seeing him immediately supplanted by incoming freshmen Mark Smith or even Frazier.

Guard starts on the opposite side of the floor, cuts high around the high post to the rim. Cut is in the shape of a banana. Also kind of like an extended L cut. Very similar to cutter 2 of Underwood's offense if that guy cuts high instead of low.

Thank you.
