You're right. It's merely luck that has driven Gonzaga to victories over Arizona, Iowa State, Florida, Saint Mary's (3 times) and West Virginia. It's merely luck that Gonzaga is participating in their second elite 8 in 3 years. It's merely luck that a mid-major school has risen to such a high status in the college basketball world.

You sure know your basketball. #mouthbreather

The Michigan game is another example of a team down by 1, with the ball at the end of the game, who settles on an outside 3-point shot without making an attempt at driving to the basket.

Would have rather seen Walton make a push to the basket in that case. Probably get another foul but, maybe get it while shooting.

Sorry, but I think they are consistently overrated by the media. How many years have they been a #1 seed? How many times have they won it all?

I'm not posting this to annoy...it's just my opinion. Each to their own.

Kansas can't seem to miss and Purdue can't seem to make anything now.

Gonzaga is overrated. They won a hard fought game for sure but they always seem to get the edge with the officials and media. Then, they get bounced. It'll happen again this year. Once thing you can always count on in the tournament, Gonzaga not winning the Tourney. #Choke

Anybody know what Bill Murray has against Arizona? He showed up tonight to cheer on Xavier.

Will never forget Murray's reactions during our game against Arizona in 2005. What a game that was.

especially when they blow a lead in the final minutes.

And to show what a stout talent evaluator I am, I saw both Kaminsky and O'Mara several times at Benet and never thought either one was high d1 material!

Just got back from both Sweet 16 games in San Jose...lots of fun, especially the Xavier upset of Arizona. Steve Kerr was there and not looking very thrilled ;)

Would have liked to see West Virginia pull it out, but not in the cards.

All I can say is thank god they changed refs for the 2nd game as that first game was painful to watch...51 fouls called and numerous official reviews.

Hey CA, will you be there on Saturday? How was the crowd tonight? I'll be doing the anthem for the final and hopefully sticking around for the game, should be a fun one!

If i was an a Arizona fan and Bill Murray showed up at our game I'd rather we just call it a night before it ever starts because I know we're losing and I know we're giving up a lead late.

If I was an Arizona fan, Caddyshack would be ruined for me.

And we all know that guy who picks gonzaga to be in the F4 every year. And that year when they make it, he and the guys at ESPN will be insufferable. Sadly, they get Xavier for a shot at it. I can't believe Xavier made it this far after their late season collapse.

I had Xavier losing in the first round, not because I thought Maryland was any good, but because I thought Xavier was playing that bad. Little did I know...

After 8 years at Zona, Miller has been to 5 S16s, 3 E8s, and has 0 Final Four appearances. Not saying I wouldn't take it, but falls just short of that F4 every time.

I was reading the replies on one of Goodman's posts about AZ and there was a lot of grumbling and a few fans saying it's time to get a coach who can get them over the hump. Boy, success makes for some irrational fans. I notice none of them mention who that coach would be. Donovan, probably.

After I promise everyone who watched the Oregon game that they will get to see some Spread offense, Oregon did not run it during the parts of the game I watched. They did run some sets from the starting formation, but never the continuity. Maybe next time. I was personally really disappointed.
