If they were going on and on about Smith, that would be one thing, this guy is just bogarting the attention on Smith to make an infomercial for Edwardsville HS and him personally. Selfish and lame.

This high school administrator is hijacking his kids moment to do an infomercial for his school. Not sure that's a good thing, as I'm just muting him until the announcement gets back on track.

Every school does this. It's free publicity, and even though people don't think about it, some people do move between districts to be at a "stronger" school. Not to mention competing against private schools in the area.

It's annoying, but I get why. By highlighting other programs, it also might get some of their lesser known kids out there.
