Here is the million dollar question for the forum's loyal followers

"What if Tilmon wanted to come back?"

Where would the forum be then?

You don't turn him down if Tilmon wants to come back.

No one has any idea what he is thinking.

Kramer put it best.

If he recommits, then as a fan you must rejoice, hype him up like he deserves as an Illinois commit, and cheer him on with all your might when he's out there sweating for the O&B. Not sure what's going on in the recruitment process and we don't need to know; we're not entitled to that at all. We just wait.

Elated! We all know we'd welcome him back and the shot up the recruiting rankings we'd get because of that. All the skepticism of his actual ability to contribute as a freshman would be washed away by the tidal wave of youthful optimism of all these new players leading us to the promise land next year.

That is a pretty safe bet.

Sorry i missed that part that didnt win the conference.

There are a ton of coaches that know what they are doing..... doesn't make it a good chemistry for the team....Louville, S.C, are all well established program and Illini is on the re-building and just want BU and the "re-building Illini" to get back to the powerhouse program just adding him for 1 yr "might not be a good look" they need a big to free up Finke/Black/Kipper from having to battle with true bigs throughout the season. Finke will be much more effective if he doesn't have to guard 7 fters night in and night out for the entire season....

To me seems you are short information. At this point of time, options to fill the roster with QUALITY players, has left staff with fewer options than like, I'm sure. I posted b4, Alstork would like to play here, good, but bet he will know, that BU is in charge. All in on Agau, we need the big.:illinois:

I personally am not expecting a ton from Tilmon as a true freshman, he would have minutes based on our need for size and lack of a true center but there will be a lot of growing pains no matter here goes.

His really potential is as a sophomore and junior imo.

Exactly, he would also add a ton of security for our team going forward. Getting a C of his quality in this class would give us a lot more room to maneuver in recruiting going forward.

If Tilmon recommitted then this class is an absolute home run, especially with Mark Smith and possible transfer additions.

Considering Tilmon would be the 2nd or 3rd best center we've had over the last 17 years I think we should all be elated. Especially with as thin as we are at his spot. He could very well be the difference in this team making the tourney or missing the tourney. I could forget about the emotional roller coaster rather quickly if he came back.

If Tilmon said he was coming back, I still wouldn't trust it until I see him play for the Illini

Lost Minaya to SC. No big deal. We got 4 invites open. Transfers taking look today.

The Tilmon saga isn't done taking twists and turns, but I still don't think he ends up an Illini. I'm also going to back off my claim that he's 100% Tiger. It's a weird recruitment, and it's not done being weird.

Still think it's Missouri. I think the fact that Jontay Porter hasn't reclassified and signed is telling. Bottom line is that it Tilmon committing to Missouri serves no practical purpose, he can't sign again. I think this whole thing is just being slow-played after the big stink we all threw when he decommitted.

The adults in his life are not doing him any favors - if he's not careful he could end up in a non-power conference school, become irrelevant on the college basketball scene, not get the right coaching and development and never sniff the NBA. Which is a shame given his natural talent.

Right, but he said 4 and I was trying to figure out the other 2. I worded the question poorly.

I think the only 2 2017's would be Iggy if he jumps up a class and JT, Unless someone else gets offered.

We take Bradzeikes if he comes. But we won't know on that until probably July. Tilmon, who knows.

I realize we still have a huge hole in the middle and it isn't a choice anyone needs to make with 4 open schollies, but I'd take Bradzeikis all day over Tilmon. He's a player.

Depaul, Missouri, or back to Illinois are looking like the 3 viable options for him at this point.
