Culbert Park in Savoy. Looks like a repurposed Mt. Trashmore.

So, get it out of your system: Jokes about shrimp on the barbee, down under, Oz, upside down, that's a knife, and g'day myte, can officially begin. This offer will expire, however, so make use of it while you can. :thumb:

He'll need to get used to kicking in Chambana, coffin corner kicks curl counter-clockwise in Australia.

I believe we will see an incredibly different team this year than last year. We have a great coach just look at his the stats from his first two seasons at the bears and the bucs both teams show alot of improvement although tampa bay really didnt give him a chance. We also have a winnable schedule and the team has no distractions because no one expects them to win more than 3 games and you practice alot more stuff we the cameras and coaches aren't watching your every move. My prediction is that we get to a bowl this year #wewillwin

Like the enthusiasm. I really don't know what to expect, except that we should see some significant improvement from those players who got experience in the system last year. I think 4 wins is realistic, 5 would be great, and I'd be ecstatic with anything more than that. Strangely, it's the D I'm more worried about, even though maybe I shouldn't be since that's Lovie's forte.

I'm worried about the youth and inexperience on this roster. I think it could be a pretty lean 2-3 win season and I'm looking for the real improvement to start in 2018.

If the defense gels, the running game is sound and we can do enough in the passing games to keep the D honest, we go bowling. I say we doods it.

I agree. So much hinges on Crouch too. If he can stay healthy and be a duel threat similar/better than ROT was, then I think there is a real chance to challenge for 6 wins.

Lots if "ifs" there. But it's far from impossible. We saw the D be porous last year, The defense was so porous last year that it was impossible for the offense to make up the difference. Plug up the D line and we have a chance.

Training camp on the horizon, and orange kool-aid flowing. I am about 3 weeks away from talking myself into optimism. I keep telling myself that THIS time, Lucy will hold the ball still for me. Right?

We've had so many years of bad coaching, bad luck, and bad karma I'm hoping for an average to a good year. Average to good coaching, average to good luck, and neutral to good karma. We can make it to five wins just on that. :)

O/U 3.5 wins

Well, the over/under is set at 3.5, what do you think? I think over and here are the 4 wins that I can see (all home games):

Ball State
Western Kentucky
Rutgers
Indiana

Purdue will be horrible, so I can count to 5, but that is it.

I can't see this offense moving the ball. I think the defense will be average, and the offense well below average. I can see 3 wins.

I'm ready for Illini football. I doesn't seem that Illini football is ready for me.

I agree. Move on from Lawson. Hope Crouch doesn't get hurt.
