Surprised Colin Castleton hasn't been mentioned more. I'd take him over Conditt & Timme.

Time is a 19. When he is same age as Conditt and Castleton, I think he is going to look better than either.

Jerome Hunter is on our offer list. He would produce a little swagger. He looks good to me!

Thus, W's come long before swagger. Nobody wins 1 game and declares them self a blue blood.

You don't claim for yourself. Do your job and if you do it well, others will notice. Always seat yourself below the salt. It's better to be asked to move up than down.

My point remains that W's come before swagger, whether it's declared by yourself or by others.

Yea-but you need to believe you are going to win and that it's not acceptable to lose. You need some pride and swagger to get there. It's not overconfidence- it's simply having the mentality that when you walk in the room you can beat anyone.

This is a fantastic conversation. Can someone put together a Swagger Index, ranking our last several teams on their SWAG% or something?

I can't find this Swagger guy in 247. Are we in his top 5?

I would be ecstatic having Finke or THT here. Who wouldn't?

The wins will take care of everything. Players will come.

Things recruits look for when they chose a school:

-Reputable coach
-Playing time
-Facilities
-Power 5 conference
-Academics
-A team that hasn't won recently but they sure do believe they can! Lol, not

Yeaaa you get that last part isn't really how it works right? The point has nothing to do with that. Everyone here knows wins are the most important.
Underwood has been quoted saying that he believes he can beat every single team they play and that is the attitude he takes into every game- that they will win. It's that attitude that changes the way a team plays and fights for every game. Of course wins are the ultimate in deciding if it was successful or not but for the last 10+ years it has been rare to watch our team play and see that players truly believe they could beat anyone. We quit or just didn't put in what it took to win. It's a culture thing. A winning mentality is confirmed and built up by wins, but it has to start with the culture/attitude of the team and the coach.

They are very different players- still unsure of who I want more. I lean to wanting THT due to his size and how hard he plays. However, Finke has the ability to absolutely flourish in this team if he takes the next step. He needs to become more consistent and fight for everything.

I really have to disagree with Ws coming before swagger. Maybe before Kentucky-level swagger, but you won't have a ton of success on court if you play timidly like you don't know if you belong. Some amount of attitude helps start winning. You just can't be overly confident when you haven't earned it.

Depends on the individual recruit and his rankings. Top recruits generally look for the safest or quickest way to get to the next level, which would be a combination of Coach/School and their reputation.

I like the chicken or the egg debate. Winning makes one confident for sure, but doesn't one need confidence to win. HHHMMMMMMMM

I guess it depends on what you mean by swagger. I prefer a more "businesslike" attitude. That doesn't mean you don't believe in yourself. To the contrary. Before you win, you haven't earned the right to strut. Afterwards it's just kind of embarrassing if you do.

I just prefer a "quiet confidence" but that's just the way I was coached.

Maybe Stansbury is having trouble coming up with the incentive package that he promised.
