Castleton seems like more of a "white collar" player to me, which ultimately makes him a better fit for Michigan. :D

I don't even know what this means really. It amounts to "well we didn't want you anyway." People who don't want to play here don't play here and so we don't want them but if they do want to play here then they are players here and we like them. Makes sense but really means nothing. If there were some superstar who didn't really want to come to Illinois but came anyway, I think we'd all actually be ok with it.

I think a more charitable interpretation of Underwood's comment is that he wants people who are really excited to be at Illinois (e.g., Frazier).

I swore I've read small blurbs from national guys that indicated Illinois was in the driver seat, but all I can find now are things from Illinois writers.

Again, not a single crystal ball prediction for THT was in his top 7. Furthermore, on the football side, even with Calvin Avery announcing his commitment, there was not a single crystal ball for Illinois. As you probably know, there can sometimes be a run of crystal balls once everyone finds out where someone is going, but even that's not the case sometimes.

I'll admit I feel good when people guess someone is coming here, but that's all it is a lot of the time; a guess.

I'd feel more confident if there were 11 guesses for us and 1 guess for VT rather than the present 11 guesses for them and 1 guess for us.

Don't recall the exact wording but basically what TheGMan said except for the 'but' at the end.
But there were a long list of commenters and they all said 'doesn't sound good' 'he's not coming' etc etc. Think KP thought to give people a positive tweet but it sounded exactly like what the commenters said it did -- not good.
