Alstork is unable to control his body or his emotions...this season is toast..why play him. Not that are other options are better...but they have time to improve at least

Pathetic . . . .

You have to continue to play your best options.

I love Damonte's hustle out there, but he is a non-factor offensively. I hold my breath every time he dribbles, because he seems like he's going to turn it over at any moment. And it's just not clicking for Mark Smith for whatever reason.

Between those three, Alstork gives us the best chance. That statement is a pretty damning indictment of the state of this program.

:tsk: hope to see Alstork start riding the pine

Unfortunately he plays d, and we don't have any other options, hopefully PSU continues to play bad, pick up more fouls and give us a chance. PSU coach doesn't seem all that bright, they should start in zone to protect the fouls. See what happens, we still have a chance.;)

I wonder if Illinois opponents would consider finding a way to predicate their offenses on inbounds passes under their own basket. I thought it was bad under Groce. It is truly Groundhog Day.

lol at B1G Network halftime so far - psu playing without 2 of their better players is a big deal, but no mention of the Illini playing without their 2 best players for a chunk of the first half. Also made it sound like the Illini were getting 'handled."

Te'jon with a nice half. He's playing like he sees Demarius Jacobs on the roster already

I thought the same thing. Hell, tell every guy on the team that someone has made a silent verbal, even if they committed to another team..."they're waiting to announce their change of heart."

Te’jon is pretty crafty around the rim and very good at using angles to get his shots off.

I agree, and I hope Lucas sticks around, but he’s very much in the boat of players who regularly make bone-headed plays. That alley oop for Leron that hit the backboard tells me he didn’t learn from the Maryland debacle. Also the routinely missed 1-1s are killer.

The end to the first half was a microcosm of this entire season.

This is the dumbest team I have seen at Illinois, probably ever. So incredibly careless, and we make such horrendous decisions.

been a fan for over 50 yrs and I have to agree with your post....bb IQ is alarmingly poor and we turn a silk purse into losses by every conceivable and unconceivable way possible....kipper loses his man on an inbounds play for a basket..alstork steps on the line trying to inbound the ball.....

we are behind at the half and should be up by 8-10 pts if you take away the dumb passes and missed frts...we are outrebounding them 18-9...wow

gotta prepare for the first 5 mins of 2nd half or it will get ugly...

You got two color commentators who don’t like IL

Does Mark Alstork have a contract to make at least one stupid play at the end of a half or game to cost us a lead. Or do you think we need to look and see if he has any connections to betting on games ????

Penn State is a formidable opponent. Good game for this young Illini team to grow
