I'm thinking the Western Mich at Mich should be pretty interesting. WMU playing with that Fleck hangover chip on their shoulder. Of course, with Mich having lost last week and now playing at home...imagination running wild as to how big the smack down will be.

107th Mid-America Classic takes place this weekend at Hancock Stadium in Normal as ISU hosts EIU. Kickoff is set for 6:30 PM CT.

The road team has won the last 3 years in this series.

Watching Pat Nelson play for SMU. I'm excited about the young guys in our secondary, but his experience would have been valuable this year. Also, wish we had landed Reggie Roberson, he is FAST.

It will be interesting to see how South Florida does against Georgia Tech this morning. I understand the negativity here but I still think we squeak out 4 wins this year.

Freshman track star kick returner has 2 returns for TDs in 1st quarter for USF.

Welp, so far, we better hope our suspended secondary players get a few reps in before that game - they are throwing the ball around against GT and Barnett, while not a runner, is scrambling pretty well.

I know Northwestern always starts the season slow, before making a bowl game (good coaching, unfortunately). But, man do they look beatable.

They do look beatable - don't play very inspired ball from what I've seen so far.

My impression of Kyler Murray was that he was one of these little speedy guys who couldn't throw. Incorrect. He is dropping dimes out there in the OU-UCLA game.

Man, USF is going to donkey-stomp us next week.

I'm not a believer in Charlie Strong, and GA Tech sorta sucks. But USF has a lot of talent and speed, especially on offense. Our defense is going to have our hands absolutely full.

He was one of the top rated QB recruits in the nation coming out of HS. He can definitely throw the ball.

I'm going to reserve my comments about USF until after I see what we do against WIU.
But after what I just saw of USF, it really doesn't matter.

Interesting to hear from the announcer that USF is only playing 2 P5 teams this year and the Wrecks were one of them. The other went unsaid for some unknown reason.
