Link please.

No link. I put the word lock in quotes which means I don't necessarily agree (see putting single words in quotes here: https://www.grammarly.com/blog/quotation-marks-around-a-single-word/
But I did reference the 6 CBs as some proof. So, yeah, a little confusing.
It was just my opinion based on the 6 CBs to Kansas and the timing of Braun's commit and Williamson's quick commit right after.

But then I did look it up to see if I could find some justification and here is an article that speculates the same thing.

Some activity in EJ watch 2018. Ohio State in for visit tonight and Illinois tomorrow. Visit still on the schedule for this weekend.
Well hopefully it remains on the schedule, and these aren't in home visits to let us know that he is choosing Mizzou.

Re: former posts: I lived in St. Louis from 1960 to 1973; the Illini were just about as popular there as the Cubs. I don't think things have changed.

Anyway, why did Ayo commit to Illinois? What was the talk then? I love it, a Chicago star loyal to Illinois.

So glad he's an Illini. I don't really see why Liddell shouldn't be same.

St. Louis isn't the Metro East. Illinois is WAY more popular across the river....in Illinois, so yeah.

Are you sure Illinois is "WAY" more popular across the river? Just asking. But with recent defections - Tilmon, Smith, others - you've got to wonder. Once upon a time, Illinois could sign Bardo (Carbondale), Larry Smith (Alton), Richard Keene (Collinsville) and others. But that's ancient history.

Go Illini basketball! Get EJ!

At least when I used to live there, I'd say Illinois only had like a 60/40 advantage in the Metro East. It probably peaked around '05 and by the time I moved away in '09, it was closer to 60/40, IMO (based entirely on unscientific, anecdotal evidence).

There's an Illinois-Missouri rivalry and a Cubs-Cardinals rivalry - a world of difference.. Man, if your'e east of the river you'd better be an Illini fan and stick it to Missouri. And if you're east of the river and you're a Cardinals' fan, I pity you. (kidding, cue laugh track).

Well it should be interesting to hear if OSU announces they’re out after the visit tonight. Could be an indicator of how our visit will be tomorrow.

Situation 1- it’s a standard visit, one last pitch before the OV
Situation 2- it’s to inform us in person that he wants to commit during the visit and have media prepared
Situation 3- it’s to inform us he is verbally committed to Mizzou and won’t be coming on the visit

Guess we’ll see...

Or Situation 4 - Mizery is out. Down to us and O$U

I don't believe that...but it is possible.

Or him and his parents are taking the time to absorb as much info as possible, take all the visits, here all the talks, and make sure he’s going to the place he truly likes the most.

Surprised to not see this here, but yesterday EJ's dad posted a picture (since deleted due to it blowing up the 5 seconds it was live) highlighting Cuonzo's track record getting his recruits into the NBA.

I've never heard of a school doing an in home and then announcing they are out of the recruitment.

Does anyone know how long the shootaround will last Friday at Ubben? I'd like to make it but I'm an hour away and don't get off work until 2:30.

Missouri is very much in it and might be leading at this point.
