Also seemed like BU took a diff interpersonal approach with guys coming out of the game... more nuanced instructions and teaching points versus the intensity/yelling at players in an effort to improve them.... my 3 yr old on her own started calling him the angry coach. Sat while watching she excitedly said "daddy, I saw the angry coach and he wasnt so angry!!"

That's pretty funny. Your daughter has an exciting future in something that values interpersonal skills

We are so fortunate that we have Tevian man! Blessed I would say... Had to go back and watch the game and that kid has a swag about him that screams professionalism and confidence! He was built for the big stage and acts as if he's been there before! Gotta love it!! 🔶🔷

I saw this too. He did a great job at boxing Fernando out. To be fair though, GB shouldn't be guarding the other team's centers, and hopefully, next year, he won't have to with Kofi coming in and a soph Kane.

Not going to argue here, but is Giorgi really a 4, in your eyes? I have seen a lot of people suggest he play the 4, but I'm not sure I see him as a 4. I don't really think he'd play 4 for any team he was on. I guess I can see him play there if you have a 5 that is better than him, and if he is better than your other options at 4.

I guess I'd say he isn't a 4 for most teams, and maybe especially ours, where BU has all but said his 4 is a guard (or has guard skills).

Am I the only one that thinks Tev's shot looks a little flat? Great when it goes in don't get me wrong. Not trying to be that guy that's finding negative in everything, but also trying to be realistic on what we have in a good freshman who is still figuring it out right now.

I'm with you, after seeing a few games......I really hope for him to succeed.

So does AJ's but it works. His dunk looked alright. I'm with you, does it have to be pure? He just needs minutes.

This is from a post from a guy at the game on the previous page of this thread.

"Dre. Wow. Big off the bench. He's making better decisions, though he made some poor ones early in the first half. At one point in first half he did something stupid (turnover, missed assignment) immediately followed by a time out. BU got in his face and was raging. "

First point is that we only see what the cameras show us if we're watching on TV.

Second, it stands to reason that when a team is playing well there will be less yelling. It doesn't stand to reason that in those instances that a coach has somehow changed his style.

Third, there will of course be times when "nuanced" coaching will be employed. But there's not a whole lot of nuance involved with many of the basics of basketball.

Fourth, all indications are that guys like the coach. I'm not real concerned personally about style points. Let's just win big.

Thanks. Weird stuff happening. Found the game on my desktop with a nice sized screen. Won’t let me log in. Signed in on the phone app and trying to airplay to my Apple TV. Nope, won’t recognize the Apple TV. Technology is wonderful. Guess I’ll watch it in 4 inch glory rather than waste all that 60 inch tv screen! Lol
probably to late but you can watch btn replays through the fox sports app as well, and they actually work there.

We surely need Kipper though. I hope he figures it out and soon.
I feel for Kipper. It has to be a tough position to be in. I hope he’s giving the kids some leadership off-court and feels good about that.

That said, I’m wanting very much Kipper doing what Kipper does best. He’s done it before. He can do it again.

Doesn’t look flat at all to me. Mostly all net which is a good sign of arc. AJ, yes. As the season goes on he gets flat. Even his FTs seem to skim the rim. Needs to get that back to early season form

For the game overall I agree with you that he wasn't so angry. But there was one point where TJ tried to drive to the hoop and was called for charging. The TV feed zoomed in on BU and he was staring at TJ and flexing his fists like a madman. Then, BU immediately went to the bench and was going to replace TJ but it looked to me like OA asked/told BU to not take TJ out of the game. BU listened and left TJ in the game. Soon after TJ hit a couple of his threes.

AJ’s shot has looked flatter to me all year. I haven’t looked at last year’s stats compared to this years, but he doesn’t look as good shooting the ball this year.

When your 6'7 with 37+ inch vert it tends to look that way when its as pure as water and as smooth as butter!

Ive watched the game 2-3 times since Saturday... He has about as good form and technique as you can teach! He's still learning how to mauever his feet in sync with the rest of his shot, which takes a while once you've done something one way your whole life...

But overall, he keeps his body so square & his posture so firm, it's unbelievable!! 2-3 years of college ball under his belt and this kid is going to be a monster!! 😲😲

Probably yes. Tev has a pretty big arc, when it's a swish it's pretty easy to tell. Not really sure how you see his shot as being flat, AJ's shot on the other hand...

Is it crazy to think that if and when TJ is moved into the starting line-up that he will average 10+ppg for the remainder of this season?! 😲

A bit too early to tell - he could go O-fer tomorrow night now that other teams are aware. The positive sign is that he's taking/making shots at the rim, mid-range and from 3 so he's not doing it from one spot, and at this point, any production from that position is a net up from what we've had over the last 5 games. Perhaps it will take pressure off of Kipper and he'll recover some and combined they can produce 10-14 for the spot.

TJ has always been looking for his shot even in limited minutes. Didn't do any research but not many players shooting nine three pointers in a game. He will score IMO if he gets the minutes and he will get the minutes if he is hitting. Still learning on defense but has the ability and will improve. Really think we have the pieces with Trent, Ayo, Giorgi, Tevian and the addition of Kofi. There is size, length, rebounding, and scoring ability plus a bench with Samba, DaMonte, Alan, Dre and Antwon.
