Big stop there. Let's get some points now.
Season comes down to Northwestern game
I really don't get this line of thinking. Our three consecutive victories were built on a very fragile base. Given where we have been, there is no reason to think our backups can step right in. I imagine MSU has out recruited us for 8 consecutive years. Yes, our backups need to play their asses off. However, I don't expect the same level of performance. I think it's unrealistic.MSU is playing just as many reserves as we are. This is not proper justification for this performance.
1st down - run for 3 yards
2nd down - get anywhere between -3 and 3 yards
3rd down - pass, get blitzed, incomplete pass/TO
Rinse and repeat.
Is this pre-Michigan football again?
Other than those two things we look pretty good.No D, no O, = no win.

Are you really going to compare the depth of MSU's roster vs Illinois'? If you truly believe that, then ok...your opinion is as valid any anyone elses.MSU is playing just as many reserves as we are. This is not proper justification for this performance.

To me...to say we lost three, but they lost three, so it's a wash, is inaccurate, especially at those positions.
Huh?You are kidding, right?
Please tell me you are kidding.
1, we've thrown on first down 4 of 6 first downs....
2, the ONLY GAMES WE'VE WON THIS YEAR is when we went with and stuck with the run early and often, plan.
I can't be more upset with your post.
I respect your knowledge and I have little doubt you know more about MSU than I. However, think about our program. We are just coming up from the pits. The line of thinking is driven by a far more intimate understanding of MSU as a program, as opposed to essentially how you imagine it (Your words). That’s not a knock either, for note. I don’t expect Illini fan to know or care about other randomly named Big Ten programs.
