BU said he wanted the team to get old and we certainly are on that track. Three frosh, three sophs, three jrs, two redshirt jrs, two srs. (assuming Ayo gone) Should make getting off to a fast start much easier. Has talented frosh but experience at the same positions, which he hasn’t had before. Should enable much more varied offensive and defensive schemes. With multiple scorers it may be difficult for opponents to prepare.Wow. Nice scout. Sounds comparable to 2018-19....and that start didn't go to well. Hoping our roster is in a better place this time around.
I think so too.Bohannon

Not tough enough. Can’t take a little defense.Wish it was Federick.
He's going to be a thorn in our side for 3 more years.

He would fit in perfectly with the other dbag Duke players.Bohannon
Looking at scheduling for next year looks like we going to have a stretch 6 big games in a row. Nov 27-29 we play 2 of Florida, Iowa St or Oregon. Then Big Ten/ACC challenge is Dec 1-3. Then early Big ten is Dec. 5-6 then Dec 8-9. Then we play Arizona on Dec 12.
We are living rent free inside Frederick's head right now. You saw the post game interview, he says he needs the refs to protect him. Could you see Lucas Johnson on him. Frederick would be in tearsWish it was Federick.

Evelyn was a senior 5th year transfer.
He wants to play strictly on the wing and not at any PF. He had a pretty good year this past year.Don't know if a transfers thread needs to be started, but former target Landers Nolly (VaTech) will be transferring.

Although not a position of need. Rather have a big that can play the four. Now that would be a great pick up kid had a great year
Unless BBV, one of the two sit outs, or a grad transfer comes in that can succesfully guard the 4 position, I don't see us taking a major leap. Maybe another offseason for Giorgi will help too.
DMW is probably going to start, and given his late season offense, I'm all for it. BU was committed to playing him when he had 0 pts for like 2 months. If he's scoring at any clip, he's getting minutes. Frazier is a probably starter too, I foresee regression to the mean for him--at the very least. Assuming Kofi stays, he's your 5. So that leaves two starter spots open.
I'd love to see one of the above take that 4 spot. But I also dont think BU is afraid of starting 4 guards. Betting now, Griffin takes one of those spots. It's hard for new comers to crack rotations, and BU has shown a stubbornness to trot out the old guard more often than not (whether or not that's a net positive or negative is another conversation all together.) Assuming that's true, I don't think Curbelo or Miller crack the starting rotation, but I still think Miller has a better shot since his skillset is more desired. He might be next year's Griffin, and Curbelo next years Feliz.
Not having freshman instantly start is a good thing. This team is deeper and more talented than we've had in almost 15 years. Good problems ahead determining PT.
Can we maintain the kind of late game heroics Ayo provided? Doubtful. What would you define as a major leap? This season was a tale of two halves. We started so slow and then figured it out.
So if next year we simply maintain what has been built and avoid the slow start, wouldn't that already be a major leap?
Ayo will still be closing out games, one can hopeCan we maintain the kind of late game heroics Ayo provided? Doubtful.
To me, this team had the talent to beat anyone in the B1G any given day. I still think we underperformed. Our shootings gotta get better, we need someone to stretch the floor. I think a major leap would be a top 15 team next year. We're losing a lot of experience, it's unfair to expect the sit outs and Miller/Curbelo to fill all of that right away. It definitely could happen, but this team isn't primed to take a leap without some guys performing outside their expectations. No reason to think this team next year couldn't be better, I think they will fall very close to where they were this year.
Not sure everyone’s view but I expect Kofi to be truly dominate, Alan to match Ayo’s offensive numbers, and better team three point shooting. Defensive improvement would exceed my expectations. Can we maintain the kind of late game heroics Ayo provided? Doubtful.

Sounds like Conor McCaffery /s lol.I can confirm this. Last night I spoke with one of my Iowa buddies who’s in frequent communication with the players. A certain guard (been there forever) is fed up with Fran and thinking of other opportunities. Duke and Auburn were mentioned.
