Expecting freshman jitters. Would be happy to be wrong. If those three come in playing in "mid-season" form, the sky's the limit for our team this year (even moreso than I thought before).
Not being argumentative at all. I just think that all three would start for A&T. If they get into the game in the first half, any and all jitters should probably have gone away. In a blowout, they should be relaxed in the 2nd half. Now, if the game is tight, then they might have a problem. Just too much talent to fall down against a team also playing their first game.

I agree, but I sure hope those words don’t come back to bite you in the azz.

I legit thought this said BIIA IT BACH and thought it was some sort of classical musical reference. Maybe in response to the anti-hip-hop vibes we got on this forum?

Bold call. Betting favorite is Curbelo, with Miller starting

My guess is Giorgi is coming off the bench. Just my guess though.
I believe GB is coming off the bench and give Kofi rest but I can see him getting a few minutes at the 4 while giving Monte the start at the 4 and Hawkins getting 10-12 at the 4. Lots of options BU has. We will be more athletic and fresher at the end of games.

Think Hutch and Grandison get a lot of time at the 4 too if they are playing well.

You got Monte playing the 4?

My thought was Monte and Grandison splitting time at the 4. If Hawkins is B1G ready to take time at the 4 and is a better option there than Monte, that’s great news. Monte was pretty good filling in at the four last year, despite being undersized.

Trying to remember who's hurt and doubtful:
BBV - foot
Hamlin -Hand
Hutch - Back
Grandison - expected to play?
Am I wrong or did I miss anybody?

See starters as three possible: Ayo, Trent, Kofi, DaMonte and Adam
Or Ayo, Trent, Kofi, DaMonte and Giorgi
Or Ayo Trent , Kofi, DaMonte and Jacob
Guess that is 4 sure starters in Ayo, Trent, Kofi, and DaMonte with the fifth a choice of Giorgi, Adam or Jacob.
Do think Cole is going to see more than casual minutes. Like he said, will all depend on his defense. Will see a lot of experiments with different combos in these first three games. Be surprised to see anyone get more than 25 mins.

Is it Wednesday yet?

AFAICT, this is our roster:

Scholarship players
Giorgi Bezhanishvili
Kofi Cockburn
Andre Curbelo
Ayo Dosunmu
Trent Frazier
Coleman Hawkins
Brandon Lieb
Adam Miller
Da'Monte Williams

Walkons
Zach Griffith
Edgar Padilla Jr.
Connor Serven
Tyler Underwood

Injured (all scholarship players)
Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk (stress fracture foot)
Jacob Grandison (?)
Jermaine Hamlin (hand fracture)
Austin Hutcherson (back)

If you assume that true freshman Lieb is under-developed physically for a BIG center, I would expect the remaining 8 scholarship player on the roster to see significant minutes, and even some tick from the walk-ons.

As far as freshman jitters go with this new group you do have to remember that these guys played in many BIG TIME AAU showcases around the country for a long time against the best players out there. They are not afraid of the stage or how bright the lights are! They are used to being scouted and critiqued. They are thick skinned by now. They're ready to show they belong if anything! I-L-L

Will Hutch play? Over his back problems — at least for now?
I don't know if he will play but I doubt that he is over his back problems. He has had those since his junior year but he has still been productive on the court.

I'm surprised anyone thinks Giorgi will start....I'd bet a lot of money it's going to be Trent, Ayo, Adam Miller, DaMonte and Kofi. DaMonte has shown he can guard almost anybody, we all know Kofi can anchor that paint by his lonesome and we'll need Adam's shooting from the jump. Adam said himself he's found his rhythm in practice and is dropping near 20pts in scrimmages. That pretty much seals it from me. That starting lineup is absolutely perfect in my eyes. 3 guys who can facilitate and play make, a defensive jack of all trades and a mini Shaq. Giorgi should anchor the bench unit that I expect will have Curbelo, Hawkins and Grandison also seeing a fair amount of minutes.
