This is the exact game we needed to have against Minny - a no doubter. Still have some things to clean up, but this is what we need to do to the bottom quarter of the league. Kofi gets some confidence back, get some rotations for various guys, and see the ball go in the basket.

A late 11-2 run by Minny to cut the final margin down to a "respectable" 27 points.

Kofi bad start, BU took him out at the right time, before a 2nd foul, then Curbelo fed him for a dunk and he was off, I think BU talking about how he is reffed, Shaqlike helped, he just needs to make more fts. This is what we expected from Kofi before the season, if we get close to this a game I'm in.

Kofi played exactly how we need him to play. 33 points & 13 boards. He was a monster tonight.
Great win. On to Rutgers. They are going to be tough.
I don’t know if this team is top 10 or not yet. Can’t say this game against a not great Minny team that had a bad night has done anything to change that. They’re good, but for me too early to tell how good. But looking forward to finding out.
Not a direct quote but Dakish, talking about Curbello, said something like, "that's what you get from a freshman with so much talent and no fear." That is my favorite thing about Curbello. He is absolutely fearless.

Interesting thing about the refs: # of Illini Fouls in Mizzou Game=27, # of Illini Fouls in Minnesota Game=27. Weird.
I really think that Illinois has a great team and I know that when they are ahead, that they don't have to push it so hard at the end, but I hate it when they have a lead and relax. A good team will work so hard to close the gap and it makes Illinois look lazy. I don't want them to lose any close ones because they thought that they had it won. When Illinois beat Arizona, that how a team makes a comeback.. Cannot let that happen.

Curbelo could possibly be a real star. When he gets fully Fletched, with his vision, handles and ability to finish, could be a very complete player.
