In the second half, Illinois scored 1.57 points per possession, NW scored 0.38.

As for overall per possession stats through today:

The top 4 in the conference have been so dominant thus far, only 5 of 14 teams have been a net positive in conference play. Ohio State mostly because they haven't played any of the top 4. In fact, none of the top 5 have played each other yet (Minnesota has, unfortunately, met the blunt end of games against Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan already).

EDIT: In fact, Minnesota's schedule has been brutal so far, with wins against Iowa, Ohio State and Michigan State and blowout losses to Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin, with their next two games being at Iowa and home vs Michigan. So, I expect them to shoot up this list starting...in two weeks maybe.

Sing the NW game song with me -

My coach is better than your coach
My coach is better than yours
My coach is better cause he beats kitty nation
My coach is better than yours

If you know the jingle this is sung to...you are flippin‘ old

Man, what I would do to be a fly on the wall in that Illini locker room at halftime.

Good to hear Underwood say the team was disappointed at halftime and getting after each other. Hopefully this is the turning point where we play with maximum effort and energy for two halves.

Loved that that he cut to the rim and finished against the zone. Seeing him knock down some daggers was hella nice too.
I loved the cut to the hoop the most. He's def athletic enough to attack more and it opens it up and brings confidence for the outside shot.

BU said he didn’t really say much at half. Said the guys were really mad at themselves at how they played in the first half.

I loved hearing Kofi say that the players get on each other, but whoever is on the receiving end can take it because they know everyone loves each other. That’s the culture every coach wants.

According to Underwood, the players were more pissed off than he was at halftime. Said they knew that wasn't them at their finest.
Uuuummmm..........maybe. Based on the huddle late 1st half timeout I would think he encouraged them vigorously.
