So Stefanovic tested positive this week and they went ahead with this game as if they're not going to have spread on the team?
Crazy, right? They said that all the proper protocols were in place: daily testing, separate rooms on the road for each player, etc. but, still, he probably practiced with the team while he was positive. Plus, they risked infecting scUM as well. Not a good move. Game should have been canceled.

He became symptomatic the morning after they played OSU this week with two negative rapid tests followed by a positive on Thursday. I can't believe Michigan went ahead and played. And if I'm on the Buckeyes, I'd be pretty worried too. He played more than 2/3 of the game.

So how is the NCAA going to handle a situation in the tourney if a team has a player test positive???.....will that team have to forfeit and they're out of the tourney??.....delay that particular game???....and for how long....that would screw up the rest of the teams in that bracket....get 2-3 teams with a player(s) or coach or manager testing positive and that could put the entire tourney in jeopardy....just wondering if anyone has ask the ncaa that question and what kind of response was given

That is a very very good question.

Michigan is going to be playing every 3 days the last three weeks of the season if my math is right. Things are just going to get crazier from here. I hope all these kids stay healthy and safe.

They will play every three days if none of their opponents are quarantined in the meantime. My vast knowledge of statistics (pronounced "none") leads me to predict that some teams will end the regular season having played less than twenty league games.

My further guess is that there will be little or no room to move the B1G tournament schedule and that any team in quarantine at tournament time just won't play in the B1G tournament.

Could such a team complete their quarantine and accept an invite to the Big Dance? Maybe, but that seems iffy. Should an invite be extended to a quarantined team on the assumption it will successfully complete quarantine in time for the tournament? Do we create a waiting list for replacement teams in that situation? And do we redo all of the seeds each time a wait-listed team is called to play? The permutations seem endless.

Anybody know if rate of covid-cancelled B1G is increasing? It seems like it. I don’t like this one bit. I’m in STL and SLU hasn’t played since Christmas.

So far I believe Nebraska, Penn State, MSU, and Michigan are the programs affected. The number of games cancelled is uneven because of how the schedule falls. Why has SLU been off so long? Is the problem internal or with their opponents?

It’s all SLU. Amazing. It’s a small school and generally has its $h!t together.

I can’t shake the feeling that CBB is about a hair’s breadth from the wheels completely coming off until at least spring. Really really hoping I’m wrong.
