I think we’ve all been kind of quick to undervalue Trent now that we have shiny new guards with all their stars and promise. Trent Frazier us still a DOG, and I’m so glad he’s stuck around and is getting rewarded.

No one has under valued Trent hes under valued himself it just goes to show how far expectations have fallen for him when everyone's all googly eyed about him scoring 19 pts when honestly he should be averaging 15+ pts every game even with Ayo because opportunities he just hasn't made his shots .

Nothing I saw from Trent tonight was impressive and its not because I dont think hes good but because its the caliber of play we saw 4 years ago from him and that should be expected of a player of his caliber .

Frazier won this game. Down 64-58 with under 5 minutes left, he hit 2 back-back 3s to tie it, then got fouled on another 3 to go up 2. Another game where this team came back from a big deficit. They definitely are comfortable playing from behind.

Yeah....i'd add credit ayo for realizing he didnt have it goin there and finding him twice.
First 3, he drove into the teeth of the defense and hit trent with the skip pass
second, drove right, when a second guy chased, hit trent in stride again

i think he did the same on the 3pt foul too

Ayo no-showed. Hate to say it

disagree

Bad game......NO DOUBT, but the guy still gave us 10 pts, 6 boards, was teh assistor on the 3 trent 3s (the two in arow he made and the one he got fouled) and got a cpl steals.

dude got fouled 2-3 of the layusp he missed int eh first half, and they took away and and 1 from him with an awful call.

He wasnt as far as it seems from a decent game.

Biggest gripe was the 2-3 forced mid range twos he took in the 2nd half

Is constantly getting beat off the dribble good defense? Seems to me he's always chasing his man to the basket, off a screen or otherwise.
I don’t agree with this. His defense is mainly why he’s on the floor as he’s slumping

So they mentioned on the broadcast that January 9, 2010 was the last time Illinois won at Indiana. This was the starting line-up for Illinois in that game:

Bill Cole
Mike Davis
Mike Tisdale
D.J. Richardson
Jeffrey Jordan

Dominique Keller, Brandon Paul, and Demetri McCamey came off the bench for the Illini in that game. Tisdale led all scorers in that game with 27 points including 13-14 from the free throw line. Demetri McCamey had 19 points off the bench. Richardson also finished in double figures with 14 points.

I hear ya, but 2-11 isn't "2-3 forced mid range twos." Nearly all of his shots were short. It's okay to say he no-showed. I'll agree 10 points is significant, but thank goodness we had Trent, Belo, and Kofi tonight.

I couldn't believe coach kept playing him. He was making lots of mistakes and doing nothing on offense. I really don't understand how many miniutes he is getting when not playing well.
Above average defense, his efforts to be a 2 way player, we know he can score. Also future recruits. Agree, Hawkins could've ate a few of his minutes. Grandison has an advantage on him, older and been here last year. Hang in Hawkins your time is here and now.

Dakich had a pretty good breakdown of this tonight.

As I recall, he just doesn't have his legs under him enough.

Tonight was the best Ive seen him at using his power.

he also is getting bumped and hacked or the ball swiped at 90% of the time

I have no evidence but it feels like Ayo turns in on in the second half. Today he was in foul trouble and didn't really have a chance to go on a run

yeah i also said he missed 2-3 layups getting bumped (shrug), and missed a cpl he shouldve made. The 2 threes he missed were wide open. But its hard to call him a no show where he showed up in other places while still getting to double digits.

It's an off game for sure, but i usually think of no shows as not impacting the game at all or not showing effort in a bad game. Not really the case for ayo tonight

Yeah the last few games save for iowa he was having like a 5 pt first half then like 10-15 2nd.

Then iowa he had like 19 in first and 6 in second.
