B10 refs are inconsistent on just about everything but the thing that drives me up the wall is the talking to benches after shots. Why do some teams constantly get away with it? Personally I don't care but if you call it on a guy after saying "Cash" then you should call it for everything
I guess they don't say "cash?" Only thing I can figure.

Didn't realize that we are shooting 50% in the first half, but also have 10 TO's. Huskers have 12 TO's and are shooting 39%.

I like it right now! Miller, baby! He's very good. Boy, I love it how these Illini are performing without Ayo. Somehow they seem faster, not waiting for Ayo to lead the way. GO ILLINI

Thing I’ve been most impressed about first half is the D. They’ve seem to have the attitude that OK, we lost our offensive leader and might struggle at times scoring, but if we play lockdown D we ain’t losing.

Turnovers and free throw shooting will be our ultimate downfall this year I am afraid.

Refs here are really something.
The game has gotten away from them in weird ways.
That goes for a lot of the games we've been in this year. I don't know if our guys have a rep for trash talking and taunting, but the refs sure act like they do.

Miller, DaMonte and Curbelo stepping up their offense nicely.

This is the benefit of Ayo's injury: other players finding some renewed confidence in their offense.
It is difficult for any high school star who had a green light and was depended upon to be offensively aggressive to become a secondary part of a big time team offensively. They usually had volume and were allowed to shoot until they found the range. Now, Miller's job is to work his !!! off on defense and take open threes....without turnovers. But athletically, the kid is truly capable of doing almost anything. Tonight, he was likely told to be offensively aggressive and drive whenever possible. He has responded....as has his confidence.

Good heavens, they were literally just hanging on to Kofi that last possession.
