Love Trent, but he doesn’t handle it or pass it like Bass. All i see when i watch Bass is Trent Frazier.
Hopefully Bass can eventually defend like Trent and be the awesome team player Trent is.

I'm not fond of Marylands coach Mark Sturgeon....Don’t tell me we went over the limit!
Not every season can be champagne and caviar.I'm not fond of Marylands coach Mark Sturgeon....
And he TOO wears a mask, like one of our other favorite playersYou guys crack me up. Brandin Podz is down to Ill, WF, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Miami. He is Mr. Basketball in Wisconsin and is an elite shooter. His HS coach said he works harder than any player he has coached. You can never have too many shooters. Illini would take him in a heartbeat.
I tapped out and stopped talking about this topic. Didn't have the patience for it anymore. The kid is a baller. You guys crack me up. Brandin Podz is down to Ill, WF, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Miami. He hasn’t been admitted yet sooooSomeone was saying last month he already qualified. I trust your knowledge over 99.999% of others on here, however
He hasn’t been admitted yet soooo
Mark Smith was not very well liked in the Illinois locker room.Agree. Actually I set a lot of Mark Smith in his game. Which...isn’t a bad thing actually. Without the prima Dona attitude and a willingness to work and improve on defense Mark Smith could have been a really productive college player. Wound up a 4 year starter on a P5 team as it was.
My source has told me that Burnett has cleared the NCAA Eligibility Center.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuttttttt, doesn't mean he doesn't.We see that a lot though. Does not mean he gets into Illinois though
Is Elevation Prep, Bass' 3rd or 4th HS?? Any reason why he would have left Hamilton Heights in the middle of the year?? He's an '022 right??Anyone know anything about this new Elevation Prep Reggie Bass goes to?
I watched 2 games on YouTube and it was absolutely terrible. There was literally no offense. Reggie would walk to the wing and stand outside the 3 point line and not move. There were no screens, there was no movement. 4 guys would stand on their spots while one guy would drive or take a 3. Then the bigs would fight for a rebound while everyone else watched. A lot of ole defense too.
I'd lose my mind as a coach, which made me wonder why I didn't hear the coach screaming at them. He should have stayed at Hamilton Heights.
I don't understand why we wouldn't want those types of guys?A lot of talk about how many wings we seem to be looking at, but getting a bunch of guys in the 6’6 range who can switch defensively and work in different ways offensively is extraordinarily appealing.
3rd, I believe. No clue. Yep, '22.Is Elevation Prep, Bass' 3rd or 4th HS?? Any reason why he would have left Hamilton Heights in the middle of the year?? He's an '022 right??
3rd at least. It's in Ft Wayne, Indiana so much closer to home. Surely that had something to do with it.Is Elevation Prep, Bass' 3rd or 4th HS?? Any reason why he would have left Hamilton Heights in the middle of the year?? He's an '022 right??
I don't really see it as much of a problem. He started at a public school in Muncie, then decided a step up in competition would be good for his development, which is true. So he went to Tennessee.Certainly an eye raiser when a junior is on his third high school. I don’t know anything about the kid and each move to a new school may be completely unrelated to anything he did. Just that it’s odd when a kid is on year 3 and school 3.
True, but we still need a 5 to replace Kofi and only have a limited number of scholarships available.A lot of talk about how many wings we seem to be looking at, but getting a bunch of guys in the 6’6 range who can switch defensively and work in different ways offensively is extraordinarily appealing.
Worked pretty well in 89Listed heights on Podz seem to range from 6’5-6’7. On his Twitter he lists himself as 6’6 which makes me think 6’5 is probably accurate. To me there’s a big difference between 6’5 and 6’7 considering his skill set, athleticism and the comp on his videos. But as has been said, the staff knows what they’re doing.

OH ya baby , did it ever !Worked pretty well in 89
They said the same thing about Zion Williamson a few years back
This is the full spectrum of comparisons and hot takes.Yet our coaching staff, who has more basketball knowledge in the dirt under their fingernails, than does anyone on this message board seem to like him.
Perhaps we should alert them that Illinois Loyalty Board doesn't think he can carry Tyler Underwoods jockstrap.
