For the love of God, stop with all the carpy bass puns

If Bass can really play point, that would be great. As we've seen with Ayo, height/reach can cause trouble. A season as an understudy, then big minutes (assuming he's up to the challenge).

Do we like any of these guys? I guess Harrar and Buttrick are big-ish bodies and experienced. Not sure I’m sold they move the needle for us.

I'd take Harrar as an enforcer type player. Rest are too redundant with what he have or what we are recruiting.

If we get Bass, I'm finding another message board after all this waste of a good thread with puns instead of actual recruiting. I can't even imagine what the board will be like for 4 years with him on the team.
Well, here’s one for the future if we get him (I intentionally did not say “land”):

If he gets a T for trash talking: “We gotta get that big mouth Bass reeled in.”

And...my apologies

JMO from watching video I really like him as a combo guard.
Agree on Reggie Bass! (caveat: based on one highlight video I watched)

He's got a Trent Frazier toolkit of abilities but with greater length (6'5") and muscle. Maybe one of those Baylor guards that hurt us in December is a better comp.

-uses his dribble to get past his defender
-sees the floor and willing passer
-athletic finish at the rim
-bet he'd be a good defender on-ball and in team concept based on his floor awareness and energy
-willing 3 point shooter (perhaps room to improve, he didn't look overeager or like a deadeye shooter yet)

I'm sold.

We had a long run of 6'3" guards that were ballers but struggled against bigger players in the Big Ten. I thought we had similar difficulty in the Dec 2020 Baylor matchup the way they pressured our guards. I like that the staff is going after perimeter players with more size.

Helps to have 6’5” guards when you are playing three of them.

I really hope we hook Reggie Bass. Ok sorry this wasn’t very good
