I don’t know why Katz is there. They are trying to make the show legitimate with him but it doesn’t work. Just give us Shaq and let it be fun.

What? Katz is literally the only one who knows anything about any of these teams. Every time he talks, he is both educating the rest of the studio crew and trying to lob them softballs so they can sound informed about teams, players, and matchups. Katz is doing yeoman's work out there.

I am fine with a dude wearing the bow tie RARELY, but when they wear one all the time, or way more than 1/2 the time, I automatically dont like them

Barkley mails it in . I think he gets briefed for a total of 2 minutes, 3 minutes before the cameras go on.

Can't say I care too much about what those guys say during NBA games, but it's always annoyed me that they don't use people who cover the NCAA all year in the studio. There are plenty of talented analysts who actually watch college basketball out there.

As I was walk/jogging the 8 miles the game took (thank God it was a quick game) it suddenly dawned on me how fitting it was to watch Underwood's Illini... while on a treadmill. :) Glad it was a blowout. Loved every minute of it!

Eh, that's a bit much. I love Malcolm..(he was one of the only bright spots for my time as a student) but he never played for this staff or anyone on the current team.

Love Malcolm, but this makes no sense. He graduated and we continued to get worse during a complete rebuild of the program. He wasn't the first brick.

Yep, I'm guessing he's still getting used to the mask and this game was a good one to do that.

I wonder if he will be cleared to remove the mask during the tournament? How long does it take a broken nose to heal?

Listening to the game made my trip around Chicago more enjoyable. There were a couple of times I didn't react to the brake lights in front of me as quick as I should have but it all worked out and got back home without incident.
