will (hopefully) be heading to Indy this next Friday for the weekend. is there an unofficial Illini bar? used to hang out at the blind pig but i heard it's closed

I understand that perhaps the Hot Shotz Bar and Grill, 4705 E. 96th Street in Indy is a "Fighting Illini bar".

Just to play devil's advocate, level of disappointment isn't about raw numbers. The Big Ten has been touted as dominant all year and two of our top 5 seeds fell yesterday.

The ACC has been pretty much assumed to be mediocre all year. It's expectations were lower. I think there's a reasonable debate to be had here.

Don't necessarily disagree, and certainly can be debated, but I think when you're making an absolute statement (Big 10 has been the biggest disappointment) and not even pointing out what the other P5 conferences have done, and actually ignoring one of the Big 10 teams that did win, (Rutgers is just not mentioned in the article) you're not exactly engaging in that debate. I have a feeling this guy was ready to write some version of this article and was just waiting for some Big 10 team to get upset to do it.

I also think halfway through the first round is just way too early to call the Big 10 a disappointment. Were OSU and Purdue disappointing? Yes absolutely. That's 2 of the 9 teams the conference sent. MSU barely made the field and lost to another team seeded on the same line, so I wouldnt necessarily call that one a disappointment. And two Big 10 teams beat higher seeds (though admittedly those weren't major upsets)

It is not that universe is against you. It's that reality is just God's version of television. You happen to be a situational comedy. It could be worse. Once you KNOW you're a walking sit-com you can really enjoy life. When something particularly hilarious happens to me, I just point and wink at the sky like I'm in on the joke. I feel you big guy. Like the ONE time I was in the top four in an NCAA pool with something like $2500 in a winner-take-all pot, it was mathematically impossible for me to win because some bow-tie wearing pin head that didn't follow basketball had a one point lead on me with the same picks as me for final four on. Hilarious. I had Michigan to win. Michigan won. Pin head took it all. I'm not bitter. lol

Any recommendations for how I should hook up the tournament games?

I probably need a VPN first? Then after that which streaming service would you go with?

I’m no expert, but many services offer a free trial. You could probably try several different ones and get thru the tourney for free.

NCAA realized they screwed up by putting BYU in the east which would play Sunday/Tuesday sweet 16 elite 8. BYU cannot play on Sunday due to religious reasons. NCAA said this week that if BYU makes sweet 16 they will flip Midwest and east region dates. Thus we would then be playing sun/Tuesday and we have tickets for the wrong night. Ridiculous mistake by NCAA.

Anyone else have Ohio in the sweet 16? After seeing them against us I knew they would be a problem. Great game.
