Loyola Chicago. He’s been average. Needed 3 buzzer beaters in 2018 to go to the Final 4. Needed the game of Loyola’s life to beat Illinois. His offense scored 16 points in a half in a Sweet 16 game. Don’t see anyone with half a brain hiring him.So....the next time we see Porter Moser, who will he be coaching?
The difference between today's game and the game against Illinois for Loyola? Fewer jumpers fell.....
....okay that's a major oversimplification. Oregon State actually had a more effective defensive scheme but it's hard not to chalk the results of this tourney up to complete randomness.
I was thinking shower curtain hook salesman.Scintillating hoops action. .59 PPP for Loyola in half #1. They were 1.127PPP vs IL. Krutwig looks like a middle aged insurance salesman in the weekend rec league so far.
Sometimes shots fall. Sometimes they don't.I was totally bummed out when we lost last week. Now, after watching that disaster.....how did we lose to those guys?
Yep. Another embarrassment for Illinois. Losing badly to a team that lost to Oregon State. Bummer. When you have the talent advantage that Illinois has, randomness shouldn't even enter the equation.
Is that Sister Jean!?
No offense to you personally, but I just think this is a tired take. This entire tournament is full “we lost to the team that lost to X”. Everyone feels like that at some point. Yeah, we lost. It sucked, no question. But as far as I’m concerned, we are no longer relevant in this whole narrative. It puts the bitter taste of that game in the past. Inserting ourselves into this game just seems silly.Yep. Another embarrassment for Illinois. Losing badly to a team that lost to Oregon State. Bummer.

I think this just underscores how random the tournament has gotten over the past 10ish years.Man, Oregon State tournament history over the past 30 years:

Anyone but Illinois is fine. Love to have him in the Big10 as he would struggle. Just not overall too impressed with his teams.So....the next time we see Porter Moser, who will he be coaching?
Love Del Griffith - miss John Candy.....
The way I look at it - we will not have to hear about how Loyola beat us any more during this tourney. I they had survived, we'd continue to hear "And beat the #1 Seed Illinois" time and time again over the next week. Still hurts, but hope it rests.Yep. Another embarrassment for Illinois. Good point. The way I look at it - we will not have to hear about how Loyola beat us any more during this tourney. I they had survived, we'd continue to hear "And beat the #1 Seed Illinois" time and time again over the next week. Still hurts, but hope it rests.
Maybe it is just lingering bitterness from last weekend, but I hope both Baylor and the Zags go down in this round.Good point.
Well...according to a writer for the suburban Daily Herald in an article this week, Josh Whitman is an idiot if he doesn't immediately fire BU and hire Porter Moser.So....the next time we see Porter Moser, who will he be coaching?
