Guys need to nail their 3s to open things up, but Kofi also has to be able to kick out to the open shooter (or the guy one pass away) to punish teams for collapsing. Those two scoring options become so much more deadly if he can execute that pass consistently.
100% agree. We've had a problem with big guys playing out of the double team for at least 3 years now and don't show any progress to my untrained eye. I hope that changes this year.

Sure, if you assume full height rims.
This is an odd thing to suggest. Particularly when we've heard about his vertical for 2 years now and you can see his hops in the highlight video posted earlier. Being skeptical of how practice reports will translate to conference play is one thing; being skeptical of something that is measurable and objective is another.

Anyways, here's another video from a wider angle:

Doesn't help when the guy shooting 100% from 3 in the game and who hadn't missed a 3 in the tourney (AM) only gets two shots from deep. I remember seeing him say "get me the ball" in the huddle with about 7-8 min left or so, but I don't think he ever got another shot after that (if he did, it was a two). He's the kind of guy you ride when he's hot, but we chose to keep going back to what had worked all season (understandable, but frustrating given the outcome).
I was surprised they didn’t get more shots for Miller down the stretch, but he 50% for both tourney games not 100%. He did hit a couple shots in a row about the 7 to 8 minute mark (both 2s if I remember), but don’t think he got another shot.

Good call, thanks for the correction. Misread the 2P% as the 3P%.

I think that clears it up. Kid’s got hops. Looking forward to seeing some dunks from him during a game next year!

Joel Goodson

respect my decision™
Slim Jake is a very good 3 point shooter too. Normally, I don't expect much improvement from older guys, but he could be an exception. His game was definitely trending up.

In the event we miss on TyTy, who is our backup pg? That's not to say TyTy wouldn't start, but Curbelo isn't going to play 40 minutes, someone will have to run the show while he's on the bench. Is it Miller? I don't see any freshman as a PG.

So are you under the impression that the 3rd starting guard and secondary pg are one and the same for us with transfers/recruits? Asking honestly, not snarky. I know the coaches can count, but if you look at the 2 wings already committed and potentially Podz, I don't see any other PG on the roster besides Curbelo.

Burnett is the perfect CG in Underwood's style of play

For those in the know, what are the odds Kofi makes a firm decision about this well in advance of the withdraw date. Seems like it could be rough going if big men are wary of coming here in case Kofi is back and then Kofi ends up not coming back.
Definitely not in the know, and this will sound stupid and obvious but it'll all depend on who's telling him what and what he actually wants to do. If he declares with the intention of staying in, he may not care what people tell him. If he declares just for the feedback, maybe he hears nothing that good or substantial and announces his return well in advance of the the deadline. Selfishly I hope for the second option but more realistically I see him staying in.

Also, I'm guessing there will be open dialog with Underwood and staff so a decision either way won't catch them off guard.
