Not surprising. This one just didn’t feel like one we would win.

I’m not naive enough to think that we don’t play in the gray area, but because we never seem to fair well in these high profile, high drama recruitments, can some advise if this means we are less gray than others?

if we miss on nimari, tyty, franklin, and miller transfers there is no way to spin it other than a disappointment. coming off a season where we finished with a #3 AP ranking and have a ton of playing time to offer at the guard position, the excuses that we have used in the past aren’t really applicable anymore

Do you recall how many targets UI missed on before assembling a #1 seed roster?

I'm guessing his production at IL would be similar to Trent's. I wonder what his defense is like, though. And does this interest from IL mean anything regarding Franklin or Miller? Curious minds (me) want to know.

Lower your expectations. We arent getting any of those guys. No reason to set yourself up for disappointment.

AJ Storr reminds me of Bulls rookie Patrick Williams (that's a + in my book) in build, play style, and demeanor in the Las Vegas Orange highlight video and looks raw in the Compass Prep video.

I don't mind having another athletic, big-bodied wing and really nice that he's a kid from Illinois with ties to Compass Prep and Bishop Gorman, two major basketball factories.

I'm eager to see what he grows to be, and also to see what we can do in recruiting Compass and Bishop Gorman in the coming months and years!

Kofi may go pro, but I don’t think he’s basing the decision on Giorgi. I know they are friends, but for Kofi it’s all about how best to prepare for his future. Needs to decide how much being the face of the program, maybe the B1G POY and 1st team All American would help him.
