If what I just heard was true, would be the biggest moment for our program in a longggg time.

If I'm letting my imagination run wild, then I hope you just heard that OA and Chin are staying, and now Kofi is planning on coming back too.If what I just heard was true, would be the biggest moment for our program in a longggg time.

Well that wouldn't take much of an effort.... Plus or minus on him making it one blockHave you considered running for Illinois governor?
Sure, but calling OA the best asst coach in the world doesn't explain why until now, nobody tried to hire him away from us. He wasn't "elite" last year?Someone who is elite in identifying talent, attracting talent, and developing talent is going to be worth a lot. A whole heckuva lot. That sure sounds like a fair description of the best assistant coach in the country to me. We lose OA, then fine, we do our best to identify our next best replacement. But until he tells us no, you treat him like the "franchise player" he is.
Wouldn't await a press conference any time soonOfficially on constant refresh mode
Ffs I've been in constant refresh for the last weekOfficially on constant refresh mode
Correlation does not equal causation.Don't know if this has been posted before but UK had the #1 recruiting class each year that OA was at UK.
Lovie was only a miss in hindsight. Most viewed it as an off the charts home run at the time. Cant fault him for that.Exactly, ADs at Power 5 schools are measured by two things, Men's BB and Football. Yes, Lovie was a miss but to cry about the Women's BB coach? C'mon man.

Sure he crapped out at S. Florida, with a whiff of scandal, but where were all the asst. coaching offers since it was widely known that KY did well with him there? Nobody thought he was "elite" then? How come S. Florida was the best HCing gig he could get? How did we end up with him for FOUR years?
He's very good at what he does, but he's fairly easily replaceable IMO. If we offer the kind of money being talked about here to others, REAL easily replaceable once again JMO.
This situation reminds me of that old board when Self left. Everyone panicked "we can't keep good coaches" "We're gonna lose players" "We're doomed we can't have nice things" etc, but soon after the next guy we hired not only kept most of the players, but actually got us to the NC game. Anyone want to give all the credit for that to one of our Asst coaches at the time?
Sure he fell apart with time but so what? Anybody want to blame that on Jerrance Howard leaving? No, the guy was just over his head, like OA was over his head at S. Florida. He's "elite" except as a HC, I guess. And nobody noticed his "eliteness" until now.

Recruiting is fluid, asst coaches aren't fungible.Sure, but calling OA the best asst coach in the world doesn't explain why until now, nobody tried to hire him away from us. He wasn't "elite" last year?

People who know about assistant coaches know about Orlando Antigua. Being considered a god in Lexington makes you a pretty well-known commodity. I would even say being an assistant at Kentucky is a higher-profile gig than being a head coach at USF.Honestly, not many people around the country are aware of OA. He's a god in Lexington because of what he did when he was there but most people probably remember him flaming out as USF.
Ready for carpal tunnel, baybee
How are your fingers, gents?
In 4 years this staff has taken a tanked program and turned in NCAA tourname top seed. I hope Whitman pays what is needed to keep the staff intact.
