It would be nice to get on here and just read about actual basketball happenings and news instead of a bunch of comedy central wannabes

I’m sorry if I offended anybody was not my intention but I am a diehard Illini fan basketball and football and I get on here to try to learn and understand what is going on with those programs. I thought that’s what this site was for was to get useful information

Yup, it's nothing new for any state job. Illinois does the same thing for compliance. Yes, they may know before who they are hiring and if the deadline is within a week or two, it pretty much means they have that position offered and awaiting the EEO and state mandates.Worth mentioning since UK is a state school they have to post the jobs to meet EEO laws and requirements. Just because it’s the athletic department and they know who they want doesn’t mean they can skirt employment law. HR is the worst.
It's slow right now mainly due to the unfortunate passing of Terrence Clarke, coupled with vacations for OA and Chin. No one is offended. We're bored too and pass the time with gifs, memes, and puns. All love, D1959.I’m sorry if I offended anybody was not my intention but I am a diehard Illini fan basketball and football and I get on here to try to learn and understand what is going on with those programs. If anyone was offended by your comment, I would kindly suggest that they figure out how to get a thicker skinI’m sorry if I offended anybody was not my intention but I am a diehard Illini fan basketball and football and I get on here to try to learn and understand what is going on with those programs. I am not biting on this.Still think we have to brace for potential bad news.
Illinois isn't able to retain OA and Chin, new candidates may be looking for inflated salaries.I truly hope we do not lose Orlando or Chin, but if we do it will be exciting to see who Underwood hires. Especially since Whitman has set the bar so high.

If they can earn it then so be it.Illinois isn't able to retain OA and Chin, new candidates may be looking for inflated salaries.
Meh.Illinois isn't able to retain OA and Chin, new candidates may be looking for inflated salaries.
Good. That means we have the attention of top candidates.Illinois isn't able to retain OA and Chin, new candidates may be looking for inflated salaries.
In Josh Whitman I trust. He knows the game and will pay for production. If he pays top dollar, he will get top talent.Illinois isn't able to retain OA and Chin, new candidates may be looking for inflated salaries.
Mike Mennenga? If things don’t work out with OA/Chin, who do you want Illinois to hire to replace them?
When I was living in Champaign back in the 90s, I had a buddy who always sent a resume when HC jobs were posted in the News-Gazelle. His goal was to get a rejection letter. No dice.Yup, it's nothing new for any state job. Illinois does the same thing for compliance. I looked him up yesterday. He was making $280,000, prior to his most recent contract that came out 6/2019. Didn't say what the new number was. He was also the lowest paid of the 3 Oregon assistants at the time. They were all getting new contracts that summer. They have pulled in some major talent since he has been there. The $1,000,000 question, how many did "he" bring in.Mike Mennenga?
Since Zaga is private, I don't believe they have to make Rev's salary public.I looked him up yesterday. He was making $280,000, prior to his most recent contract that came out 6/2019. I also looked up Roger, but couldn't get a salary. Apparently, my google skills are weak in this instance.
Certainly, if these 2 were priorities, one would think that we could afford them, without paying AO money.
