Hi, I'm IllinoisLoyalty.

Sometimes, nothing is happening, especially in the offseason. I don't like that. When nothing is happening, that's boring, and I want something to happen.

Sometimes, something is happening, but it seems bad. I don't like that. When something bad is happening, I am worried other bad things might happen, and that would make me sad.

Sometimes, something is happening, and it might even seem good. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Sometimes the good thing is not as good as the thing I wanted. Sometimes it is scary and unexpected. Also, sometimes when good things happen, that reminds me that bad things could start happening again. And good things happening doesn't matter if we lose games. I care about not losing games during the season.

During the season, sometimes we lose games. I really don't like that. When we lose games, I look for people to blame. There are a lot of people I can blame. Some of those people did something or didn't do something a long time ago. But blaming people makes me feel better, even though it's not as good as winning.

Sometimes we win games. I like winning games. I like it a lot. But when we lose, I get so upset that I forget all about the games we won. I don't like losing. I only want to win. And when we lose at the end of the season, it's the worst. If nothing changes, we might not get better. But if something changes, we might get worse. Then again, if nothing changes, we could also get better. And by changing something, we might not get worse. It's all very confusing to me. But I will criticize the people making these decisions, because I feel personally offended by their failures. Focusing on others helps me to avoid self-reflection.

If they are scrambling; then OA and Chin were scrambling for recruits, because they pretty much followed the same plan or process. You identify a list of prospects who would fit the need, do interviews, and make offers. Some good ones are going to say no. That is probably how he found OA, Chin, et al. Is that scrambling? If so, scrambling is something Underwood has been pretty good at.

Have to go hard for Roger Powell. Appeal to his love for his Alma Mater, which is in need of his help right now. He's on track to be a head coach soon; help your Alma until that time comes. Offer the Associate Head Coach title; I don't think Chester would mind as it would be going to an alum who is senior to him in class and tenure.

Clever, and you are still keeping your negative thang going at the same time.
Easy to be positive when you lose 3 assistants (one who was reportedly being offered to be highest paid AC in the country and also the two who recruited a couple of your all time best players) to non-HC roles when you are coming off a season where you won the conference, conference tourney, and were a #1 seed.

Not surprised at Oregon, but am at UConn matching
Why are you surprised at UConn? They left the AAC and compromised their football program simply to be back in the Big East. They are all in on basketball, like most (all?) of that league is

Just walk across the street to Tony’s and grab ya one of the best steaks you’ll ever have, you might see some “gray area” action happening.

We’ve heard a lot about the improved chemistry in the locker room. Looks like that didn’t carry over to the coaches’ offices. Something was going on that no one is talking about.

The coaching changes have been in play for almost a month, so the Frazier, Alexander, Pinkins roster is underwhelming. And waiting in the wings may be a guy we fired once already. Apparently we struck out on at least three higher profile names. Did Josh put the big wallet back in the safe? I’m guessing we can get Chester and the two others being discussed now for less than we were willing to pay OA.

if we had a $2,000,000 salary pool for the assistants, could we do better than what is now being discussed?

Our AC jobs are not all filled yet.

Pinkens, Frazier, and whoever is not striking out dude lol. You are selling Frazier and Pinkins short. If Pinkins is the other guy.

I knew nothing about Pinkins before reading this article. What I learned is that Pinkins is not a good recruiter. Beyond that there was nothing tangible. All coached do player development and scout the opposition. There was nothing to demonstrate he was particularly good or bad at either. If Payne was leaving Florida because he was not happy with his development under Pinkins (rumors on this board), that speaks pretty strongly.

Offered them both good. Money both schools matched though.
So effectively, Kentucky just kicked off big raises for coaches in probably 5 or 6 different programs. Apparently, coaching chaos is good for coaches. I wonder how many assistant coaches' agents come to their current administrations with stories that they have been "contacted" by another school offering $X raise...

1200 players entered the transfer portal. So apparently, 1/4 of all D1 college basketball players think they would develop better somewhere else. Most of them will turn out to be wrong.
