Somebody should tell him. He loves talking to Illinois fans.
This gets even better.

I'm reasonably sure Kentucky knows their stuff and has enough connections to figure out something that has been sort of an open secret on a free message board.
I didn’t realize that had been out there on message boards. But I’m sure you are right in that Kentucky has surely done all their homework rather than just taking Antigua’s word for it.

Is there a expected timeline on these announcements?

IllinifaninIL: “Was thinking the recruiting battles between Nick and Chin are gonna be really interesting...”

Considering that for a good while the Illini were pretty much ignored/frozen out of the elite Chicago talent pool... the Orange is in much better shape today from where they were in recent memory for future recruiting The Windy City.

We can thank those who have just gone on to Bluegrass Pastures for their efforts, the bold and foundation decision by Ayo to stay In-State, and the recent on-court success of The Beloved for capturing the attention of top Chi-Town players again and making The Illini part of the conversation and back in the game as Program Players again against other National ball powers.

Just grab one or two of these Chi guys every year or so and keep bringing in top talent from All Corners Of The Globe and the Illini become not just a National but a World Player. You know how you see Bulls logo clothing in pics from all over the globe? Keep this going the right way and you might see Orange and Blue gear like that as well. The Orange have shown they can conquer The Caribbean and parts of Europe... now on to the rest of the world. There’s more than enough great talent now to go around. Don’t have to obsess about any particular place... but it’s nice to be back in Sweet Home Chicago.

Sorry if this already got posted but it looks like Huss is a great recruiter. Ranked #7 recruiter by 247. And this article is pretty fresh.

edit: I see that IndyIll posted this in the closed thread. Dan you can delete or we can keep this in this thread for reference…

This. The more I learn about Alexander's background, the more stoked I get. His dad was an outstanding coach. Sounds like the apple didn't fall too far from the tree.
Yeah.....all he has to do now is go out and prove it

BU: "Hey, you're getting promoted."
GA: "Cool, how come?"
BU: "We feel like you haven't done enough but updating your LinkedIn title might help."
GA: "Oh, ok."
The change in position would allow him to recruit off campus.

If anyone is bored tonight, BigTim is hosting a zoom to discuss how corrupt the NCAA is. I'm guessing his take will be that everyone is dirty except UK.

Also, he is quite happy TyTy is no longer interested in Illinois, but could we sneak back in if we make it official with his former lead recruiter, Huss?
If anyone is even more bored, please start a satire account called "Dim Tim". Post the link when you are done.
