Replying to your points...

Your Point 1)
It’s not about “standing up for a dude who throw ice and glass...” I don’t really care if it was a different player from a different team. The point was what are student sections making displays about. Whether it’s Jamar Smith “I L L D U I” or someone getting assaulted. Hopefully that clears it up for you...I said nothing to “stand up for a guy throwing ice and glass.” This seems like you jumping to conclusions and putting a bunch of words in someone’s mouth. Sometimes it really isn’t necessary to impute motives or meaning beyond what’s actually said.

Your Point 3) “And spare me the lecture on violence not being a way to solve anything.” Again, my point was simply in response to what one guy said, that the fan bases were going to do stuff with this incident. All I commented on was if it looks good or not if groups in the stands like Krush or other student groups, are making their display chortling about it. I don’t care if it’s someone from a different team...say the player had bones broken or their career was ended...is that appropriate for fans to be waving a banner about? The Francon poster is in good fun...laughing about someone’s injury or assault is different.
So again this is about what the fans do with it at the games...there was not any “lecture on violence not being a way to solve anything.” This is another example of you putting words in someone’s mouth and getting off topic onto things that interest you, for whatever reason. If that interests you fine but that’s not what I was talking about.

Thanks for enlightening me with your superior understanding of the way the world works. If you want to disagree with my particular points fine. But it seems like it will be futile to try any discussion with you if you assume any number of things beyond what I’m actually saying and be like, your position is x, y, and z, spare me this and that. We can try “so you’re saying A, so you’re saying B, etc” until the cows come home. I’m not trying to argue these other things you mentioned.
My points honestly weren't that involved.

Bohannon has a reputation as a jerk and seemingly got his comeuppance. As he wasn't more seriously injured, I have no issue with him being mocked by any fan section. Same way as I have no issue with any other athlete being mocked for their bad behavior provided no one wound up with a serious injury or dead.

If he'd ended up with serious brain trauma, I'd agree it's in poor taste. That isn't the case here, so I don't agree with you that it's in poor taste (or all that different from Francon poster) to blow up a still of him on the floor of the bar and have it behind the basket when he's shooting free throws or behind the bench.

Blow up a picture of him knocked out on the floor and wave it around?? I consider myself an A+ juvenile, but that is out of bounds for me. Maybe a chant of “Glass Bo”, that seems classy.

I hadn't thought he was knocked out cold in the pic. Looking at it again, you're right. Not funny.

Glass Bo? Like Glass Jaw? Maybe. I'd be okay with them just chanting DC's at him.

We literally had someone on this board who was in town and posted about it.

There will be no official news source saying he did it because the Iowa athletic department is the one who released the official statement. They're not going to acknowledge their player was acting like a dbag and had it coming. This is the organization that hired Fran after all.
Here’s a post saying he never threw glass or ice: He never threw glass or ice. This is your new truth.

I hope not. It seems a bit low for the Krush, which does charitable work, to make a display of guffawing and chortling at a rival school having a player knocked out. It’s no better than when they made fun of the Jamar Smith incident. The Krush can do better.

You must be new to the Orange Krush. Overall, they mostly keep it classy... mostly. But sometimes, a dude just deserves it.

I was at that game. The animosity toward the guy was unmistakable no matter what section you were in. Very disappointing when Chester went out and the fact that idkwti forced overtime.

I think that was the loudest collective booing I’ve ever heard when Sampson had to walk the entire court to get to the locker room at halftime.

I explained to you why there wasn't one. Iowa Athletic's PR machine is getting out in front of it. We'll see what the cameras show in the police investigation, but I'm inclined to believe he was throwing ice. The glass may not be as likely (I don't know any college bars that give out actual glass cups as a preventive measure), but ice will still hurt like hell and isn't acceptable either.

Dc’s’ “thing” is giant glass beer steins, and let me tell you they were getting plenty of use all night. :)

Perhaps I should have asked for a credible link.

Believe what you want, and I don’t blame you for not believing an anonymous source online, nor do I care what you think on the matter. JBo has made his personality clear as day on numerous occasions. Not exactly going to go about “proving” that I was at dc’s on a night when there was a fight that is being investigated by police.

Boohoonan shouldn't be ogling and leering at young women, who are clearly the victims here.
