No tOSU, no ScUM, no IU. This is about as amenable a conference schedule as we could hope for but I don't think we've got the depth to hang with a lot of teams.

Looking at it today I'll speculate 4-8:

Sat, Aug 28____Nebraska - L
Sat, Sept 4____UTSA - W
Sat, Sept 11___at Virginia - L
Fri, Sept 17___Maryland - W
Sat, Sept 25___at Purdue - L
Sat, Oct 2_____Charlotte - W
Sat, Oct 9_____Wisconsin - L
Sat, Oct 16____---bye---
Sat, Oct 23____at Penn State - L
Sat, Oct 30____Rutgers -W
Sat, Nov 6_____at Minnesota - L
Sat, Nov 13____---bye---
Sat, Nov 20____at Iowa - L
Sat, Nov 27____Northwestern - L

Nebraska, Virginia, and Purdue are all winnable even tho we will be the underdog. We need to get 2 of those 3. Im excited to see if working with Tank and some really good position coaches can bring some of these guys to a new level.

7-5 or 8-4, after sweeping the first six.

Ouch, that's 2-7 in the Big 10 even with an "amenable" conference schedule. Hopefully, we can do better than that...maybe at least knock off Nebraska at home or Purdue on the road.

So, I’ll admit I never played football and mostly watch as a true “casual fan,” loving the atmosphere of college football more than anything. With that said, I never miss an Illini game and LOVE when each new season comes around.

In other words, I’m pumped to see BB on the sidelines, but I’m not too knowledgeable about the roster analysis. What are posters expecting W/L for this year, and what might our ceiling be?

Pretty wide range from 2 to 8 wins. IMO 5-6 wins is a good season and a step forward.

Gives the backfield experience and a good running back. Man if can stay healthy. Any word on Edwin Carter.

That’s great news! Kinda surprised after taking that long to decide. I hope he stays healthy and goes out on a high note. He certainly gives us great depth at the position and has always been a hard worker from what I’ve read. Welcome back Mike!!
"Goes out" over the next 26 games I guess you mean.......as he's still a Junior.

Love that we are back to normalcy. Would love to see our fan base begin to start filling the stadium again. I know fans want to see a decent product on the field first but I think with BB we are heading in the right direction. ILL
