I’ll keep it on topic.I don’t agree with this, AT ALL. I’m not a fan of using never or all. Do some cheat to get ahead? Absolutely!! But it isn’t a prerequisite for success. I’ve achieved what I have in the market and in life on the up-and-up. My success is from using the intelligence God gave me. Maybe I’m an exception to the rule, but I’m not the only one. Success can easily be achieved within the rules.
The challenge Illinois faces, and many of the the non-blue blood schools face, is that there needs to be a way to compete for top recruits.
Facilities, coaches, academics are a huge part of that. However without doing what other schools do, you’ll need to be happy hanging below the top tier.
I obviously don’t have the solution without engaging in the same behavior, but that’s just the reality of the situation, like it or not.
