I don’t agree with this, AT ALL. I’m not a fan of using never or all. Do some cheat to get ahead? Absolutely!! But it isn’t a prerequisite for success. I’ve achieved what I have in the market and in life on the up-and-up. My success is from using the intelligence God gave me. Maybe I’m an exception to the rule, but I’m not the only one. Success can easily be achieved within the rules.
I’ll keep it on topic.

The challenge Illinois faces, and many of the the non-blue blood schools face, is that there needs to be a way to compete for top recruits.

Facilities, coaches, academics are a huge part of that. However without doing what other schools do, you’ll need to be happy hanging below the top tier.

I obviously don’t have the solution without engaging in the same behavior, but that’s just the reality of the situation, like it or not.

With the new naming rights changing coming soon, doesn’t that essentially legitimize the pay to play program? Now that teams have no or a reduced fear of getting busted, I think think they are out scouring for those guys who have a history of playing the game well. A highly qualified “Bagman” so to speak!

He's not transferring, just another media based rumor that message boards fueled. Time to move on folks.
He might have transferred if kofi was a lock to return, but that aint happening and neither is he transferring.

Not sure what world you live in but Wall Street cheats, major college sports cheat, private and public companies cheat, politicians are all paid off by lobbyists, it’s the world we live in.

I don’t agree with it, but nobody has built a winner or made hundreds of millions of dollars without cheating.

The NCAA has made billions off the backs of these kids.

You play the game or settle for mediocrity.

Dan - apologies for my rant and I understand if you delete it. For the record I personally don’t cheat in life or teach my kids too, but it’s unfortunately how things are.
Your first four sentences tell me your last sentence is not true.

There's no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation, a state of bliss
Can't keep my mind from the circling sky
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I

Nick Irvin: Asst. head coach 6/23 8:48 YOU won't know for 7-10 days
Again, did I miss something? I check Google, and Nick is still being shown at Western Illinois. I would have thought if he was the AHC for the Illini, it would have popped up in one of the versions of this thread. Is he coming/or already aboard?

You haven't missed anything. He's a coach at WIU and there would be no "timing issue" if UI wanted to hire him.

I would take everything Nutt says with a grain of salt. But I would imagine Nick is the AHC sometime soon.

AHC = assistant coach, or assistant to the head coach (Alexander old position)? I assume the latter.
Yeah- I keep reading AHC as "Assistant Head Coach" rather than "Assistant TO the Head Coach"
