Illini Football 2021

Just ran into Reggie Love and James Frenchie, great ambassadors for the university! Asked them the difference this year and they said they felt like they were playing more for the Team and Illinois this year. They also said that there is more structure and they weren't tackling at all during practice last year or getting very physical in them. Asked about differences in Lou and Tank as strenghth and conditioning goes and they said Lou increased mass but they felt like they were breaking down some also, where as this year they are doing more flexibility and soft tissue work in addition. They also said BB takes more individual time with them, teaching them history of Illinois and things that will help them with things other than football. I also told James he was gonna have more comp this year with Isaiah coming over to the WR corp, he said yes, we are both slots so far this year. Chances are I'll get a little more time with them, updates coming. Also said Shammond is going to be ready this year.
Update.... asked about the young QBs Duece and Collier which one should we look out for.... they said they haven't had many passes from either but Duece is easily the fastest guy on the team. Next question is who is gonna bust out this year and James said Reggie, and Reggie said James, both also then said Isaiah is going to also. Dang I forgot to ask about Beason!

Ask about Cooper's weight, please. Still listed as 200# on the roster. Been in the program for 2 years now. Hoping he's added at least ~15 pounds of muscle.

He has had many great spurts of showing he is capable, then reverts back to mediocrity levels........
I think the addition of coach BB and new staff gives me that hope in improvement from all returning Illini veterans......

I hope i am wrong but he seems to perform excellent against weaker teams but when he is under the gun he seems to come up short.
I hope i am proved wrong and sometimes being the oldest person on the field helps with confidence. But ive seen a lot of disapointment in peters. New coaching could overcome some weakness but i am not sure about that either. No matter what i think we will be an improved team this year, especially on defense where believe it or not they are practicing tackling.
I think it would be a darn good year if we made any bowl.
