Honestly didn't even blink when I saw that tweet. Same account said it was between us and Arizona earlier this week. Twitter changes their mind more rapidly on these things than the recruits themselves.

Maybe he really couldn't control what's shaken out but if you want to be an elite program you can't go from a 1 seed in the tournament to what this current roster is.

Still believe in BU but the recruiting misses are really starting to pile up.

BU resurrected our program from the grave. Maybe we ought to give him the benefit of the doubt here. Maybe this all goes south, but if it does, I think BU has earned some patience. Also, perhaps you forgot that we literally "signed" a 4 star top 100 recruit this week.

What was the tweet that did this even? Am I missing something? Every time I try to follow the breadcrumbs it comes back to rumors started on this forum. Maybe we should all just take a step back and not react so quickly to random tweets that aren’t from the recruit

I'm to the point where I don't believe anything any Illini-centric journalist or insider reports.

Let me qualify that by saying they are only as good as the information they're getting, but shame on us for hanging on every thread - knowing how this stuff turns out 85% of the time. Shame on them for regurgitating every single, little snippet they hear for likes or clicks. This might be a broad brush stroke, but I think you pick up what I'm throwing down.

This is one of those accounts that subs to premium and claims info as their own. The tweet was posted 10-15 minutes after an update thread on a premium site laid out the same details - and they've done it before, countless times.

Amazing how quickly things changed with this NIL stuff. Was hearing all Illinois the past week, and then it got flipped on its head last night. Sorry guys wish I had better news. This offseason has been really frustrating in parts but better times are ahead. Sounds like UNC is offering money that may not be reasonable to Garcia. Super frustrating stuff.

Sadly, I feel this is going to be the new norm for a while - until the wild west gets sufficiently sheriffed.

Just keep casting a wide net (as they are) and don't put all the eggs in one basket (they aren't).

yeah it's going to be wild. recruitments literally are changing now as we speak so it is much harder to predict what is going to happen.

Keeping Kofi has been the staff's number one priority the last week-could have caused them to maybe low ball the nil number to Garcia. We will see what happens with the big fella now...

We better not be bringing a knife to a gun fight in these NIL battles.

I’m totally banking on our alumni and supporters being as good as any in the nation here. Going to be disappointed if we are not benefitting from

Not trying to be a smart a**.....I just am having a hard time incorporating a nil number into recruiting now....Do we need a new phrase..............

Recruiting is fluidly nil
Recruiting is nil-ily fluid
Recruiting is .............................???

Perplexing to follow recruiting now......the cesspool has opened it's arms and consumed the masses....................whoa is me..............
