He was a true freshman with a truncated summer practice session. The idea that he was destined to be replacement level is a tired take. His production from last year is replaceable. That doesn't mean his production from this year and beyond would be. He might have ended up as an Alex Legion or an Ayo Dosunmu in the future, and I am still a bit sad he will figure it out elsewhere. He has a very high ceiling.
Spot on. But, the staff and Adam have both moved on. Hope he enjoys being a billion miles from home playing basketball at a football school.

Sure. I won't lose sleep over it just like none of them will. It just boggles the mind when a top 35 ranked player who started most of the year for us as a true freshman in a year where we were a #1 seed is treated like he was some ho-hum player with little upside. Goodness.

Haters gonna hate....🤷‍♂️

Frazier being here was more about who he is than him being a former player. He is just a relentless grinder. I loved his heart as a player and it’s served him well since.
It is more about that, but make no mistake, after what OA did (not debating whether he should have), Underwood wanted someone invested in the family.

Bring on the unnecessary speculation about Bass /s. I doubt Underwood is even thinking about doing what some on here have proposed regarding recruiting.

Couldn’t agree more. Not just ho hum with little upside-appreciably worse than a serially injured D3 transfer.

Yea everyone talks about his inconsistent offensive efforts....but one thing I don't think anyone can deny was he was a pretty darn good defensive player all year long....and as a freshmen
Miller was pretty good as a Freshman. As a Central Illinois native I hope he finds success. But you can’t fault people for looking at him with a little scorn since he just up and left.

Heh. It feels a bit like BBN hatin' on Kofi today. Not comparing the two players' talent. But when someone isn't going to be yours, our minds rationalize in the weirdest way.

I agree with this -- ton of potential -- but what he showed at the U19s was very in line with what he did last year. Shot 34% from the field, 32% from 3. Granted, did have a couple good assist games and played awesome defense. That doesn't mean he can't be a really good all-around player, just that I'd be surprised if he started scoring efficiently anytime soon. Also, though I hope he can maximize his talent, I'm sad to say I took a bit of relief when seeing those numbers. It'll be painful thinking about what might've been if he starts lighting it up from the jump at LSU.

I do wish Miller had stayed as I think he could have been one of our key pieces next year. But he’s 6’3, not overly long, had trouble finishing at the rim consistently and proved to be an adequate but by no means a knockdown shooter.

We have 3 freshman who can do most of what Miller can, all of which are 6’6 or taller. And we’ve got Plummer to hold us over for a year while they get acclimated to the college game. All of which to say is, Miller is replaceable.

Belo and Kofi, not so much.
