Lol come on man it's Duke. Add that to the fact Schutt is essentially a Jon Scheyer clone it's not too difficult to see the draw thereWhy anyone would want to go to Duke now is beyond me. How have them K students done on their own?

Underwood historically goes for more stretch types at the 5 than players like Kofi, but when you can add a player of his caliber you have to adjust how your system works. It appears we are much more likely to end up with 6’9” guys that can stretch the floor than Kofi types. Playing with 2 fours and no five is not uncommon and would seem to fit with the BU style. Seems to work in most conferences but the BIG has seemed to attract very large post guys. OSU did fine last year without it.
But what really separates Scheyer, from say Collins? Besides Chris’ dad was a great coach also?I understand what you are saying, but none of those guys were Scheyer, and none of them had the Duke brand behind them.
What separates him is that he is at Duke. He's go a head start compared to all of the other Coach K seedlings that have tried and mostly flopped. Like you point out with UCLA, it's not a guarantee, but it does give him a better chance than, say, Quin Snyder had (though he's certainly found success later). But what really separates Scheyer, from say Collins? Maybe he’ll do well, but none of the other guys have.
and for the, “it’s Duke so they’ll be good no matter what crowd”, I’m sure that’s what everyone thought after Wooden at UCLA and you know they thought that to the east after knight.
Just not very many Kofi like prospects out there either. Showing all types of big men prospects we can adjust our system to allow them to maximize their skills will be key.It appears we are much more likely to end up with 6’9” guys that can stretch the floor than Kofi types. Nice clip. I can see why we offered. Kid is a '22.
I for one hope the Duke brand somewhat leaves with Coach K.....Probably not, but I cant see them recruiting quite as well without him....Am I wrong?Speaking of Schutt. I think he got a Duke offer? If so....
How many Kofi types has Illinois ever had.....0 in my book.Just not very many Kofi like prospects out there either. Showing all types of big men prospects we can adjust our system to allow them to maximize their skills will be key.
Kofi put in the work to get leaner and coach planned accordingly, helpfully Kofi is Not a plodder. Maybe we saw it before anyone else. I think Kofi is a sponge and will play in the league. And we probably won't see another like him....In my lifetime. How many Kofi types has Illinois ever had.....0 in my book.
Right handed giorgi but with a jumper.Repeat post for this kid:
THT type?
I hate Duke, my wife is a big fan. Coach K can not be replaced. I can even see that. You can still go to Duke but it won't be the same without him. They will not be able to maintain their same level of excellence. What separates him is that he is at Duke. I figure they have a 2-3 year grace period to figure out what they are without them before the Duke mystique takes a hit. Old timers will remember, but recruits will want the latest thing.I for one hope the Duke brand somewhat leaves with Coach K.....Probably not, but I cant see them recruiting quite as well without him....Am I wrong?
Yeah, he broke the mold. How many Kofi types has Illinois ever had.....0 in my book.
