Everyone got an extra year of eligibility. Kofi technically can play for 3 more years here. He may, if the money is right.I don't think so. Only this season.

Yes but all 3 years would count against the 13 scholarship spots on the roster. Only the seniors from last year don’t count for this yearEveryone got an extra year of eligibility. Kofi technically can play for 3 more years here. He may, if the money is right.
That isn’t being questioned. He was replying to my question regarding players beyond this year who use that extra year having their scholarship not count against maximum scholarships count. Seems he is correct and they do. So unlike Frazier and DMW, if Kofi played a fifth year his being on team would count against scholarship limit.Everyone got an extra year of eligibility. I think you’ll see it a lot from players that have only basketball but will likely end up overseas. That isn’t being questioned. As to whether Hawk and/or Grandy use their extra year or leave after this year, I think if upcoming season(s) go off without a hitch and have full contingent of fans in stands for full season we might see fewer players using extra year. I’d guess part of the reason TF and DMW came back is because they played without fans their senior season. Not to say that some eligible players won’t still take their extra year, but I think that as the no-fans season moves further in the past we’ll see increase in those that just move on with their careers.
Yeah, not saying players won’t use it, but I stillI think you’ll see it a lot from players that have only basketball but will likely end up overseas.
I’d say that’s fair. You more often see redshirt juniors leave because they’ve graduated than you would have seen with TF and DW regardless of graduation statusYeah, not saying players won’t use it, but I still
think numbers will decrease if seasons return basically to normal. That said, I have no idea if Hutch or Grandy will be back next year. But I do think if season goes off without a hitch then odds are at least slightly greater that they leave than they were for TF or DMW. Having had the “senior experience” think they’re more likely to be ready to move onto their career.
I don't think Kansas and LSU belong in the same sentence.Lots of teams coming for him! You don't get Kansas/LSU following you unless you are elite!
I think Brad just said recently that he prefered an older team. If a contributor wants to come back you have to consider it. The roster gymnastics is going to give us all heartburn for the foreseeable future.Yes but all 3 years would count against the 13 scholarship spots on the roster. Epps dominated him. Not sure his official stat line but don’t think he made a shot until the 2nd halfAnyone know how Bass did in the game against Epps? I can’t seem to find a stat line (it is very possible I just don’t know where to look).
Hey Indy what are you hearing with regards to Storr? Are we still going after him hard or pretty much the ship has sailed?
I really like Storr so that is tough to hear, but....if we get Whitmore I’d get over it real quickNot the kid's fault, they love his game but for other reasons, the ship has likely sailed... They are all-in on Whitmore and Schutt.
Thanks for the info Too bad about AJ but thrilled to hear we still have a shot at Schutt but most importantly get WhitmoreI really like Storr so that is tough to hear, but....if we get Whitmore I’d get over it real quick
Do we have a legitimate shot with Schutt? Duke and UNC seem to be getting involved, which makes me nervous. Not the kid's fault, they love his game but for other reasons, the ship has likely sailed... They are all-in on Whitmore and Schutt.
Tell Burgess that Asa Thomas says hello.13 3's!? Oh Lord!
All Jaden needs to do is look at Past Illinois high school studs that left the legacy an Illinois kid can have here is through the roof the big ten is arguably the best conference and he’ll have great teammates and coaches around him Illinois has a lifetime of greatness to offer not just a couple yearsDo we have a legitimate shot with Schutt? This is all true, but Scheyer, a former Illinois high school stud, is also trying to sell him on the results other former Illinois high school studs have had at Duke, and there are unfortunately plenty of examples. If we win this one I'd be extremely impressed. All Jaden needs to do is look at Past Illinois high school studs that left the legacy an Illinois kid can have here is through the roof the big ten is arguably the best conference and he’ll have great teammates and coaches around him Illinois has a lifetime of greatness to offer not just a couple years

You’re 100% right but he’ll get more long term here than they can offer remember what it was like to watch Illini play in the United Center in the early to mid 2000’s players come and go there he can be part of something much bigger hereThis is all true, but Scheyer, a former Illinois high school stud, is also trying to sell him on the results other former Illinois high school studs have had at Duke, and there are unfortunately plenty of examples.
