Yes there are not a lot of minutes left over between Ball, Lavine, Caruso, White, and now Derozan. Ayo is going to have to really blow up to crack the rotation now. Probably will have to be content with sitting on the end of the bench and working hard in practice.
White is out for several months from shoulder surgery

Oh he'll be playing for the Bulls this season, it may just end up being the Windy City Bulls.

The key for Ayo is to play defense more like Ball & Caruso than Lavine, White or Derozan.
Rookie year Ayo will not be taking any of Lavine or DeRozan's minutes lol... but I'm still thinking Coby could be traded. If not, like mentioned above he is hurt in the beginning of the year. Also hoping the Bulls are good enough to blow a lot of teams out so that he gets minutes. It will be a really tough rotation to crack but it's possible.

Ayo's going to get to learn from some really good guards and will be going up against great competition in practice. Now he has to get better, stronger and earn some playing time. I believe in him, he's got this.

Man, this would be my absolute dream. I'd have the "Wednesday 6pm after work the night before thanksgiving weekend" feeling, but instead of it being in anticipation of 4 days of chillin' it would be for 8 months, but with several thousand $$$s hitting my account every two weeks. Low pressure, and Ayo seems the patient type.

I am confident in saying that Ayo wants to play because a) he's a competitor, and b) he wants to have a long career and sitting on the bench because he can't beat out guys ahead of him is not a good start to accomplishing that goal. In no way is this scenario an "absolute dream" for Ayo.

I'm not as confident as everyone else on here that Ayo ends up on the Bulls roster to start the season. He could be assigned to the G-League, right? I don't follow the NBA as closely as some others though, so does someone with a better idea of how these things work have thoughts on the odds Ayo actually makes the Bulls NBA roster at the start of, or at some point during, this season?

On the radio today they said the bulls are out of. Obey to go get many more FAs so it likely opens a roster spot for Ayo. They didn’t think he will play much (unless White is traded) but seemed they thought he’d make the roster.

I would think the Bulls would want Ayo in the G League to be playing some games rather than just sitting on the bench.

With all the $$$ the Bulls are throwing around, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to get Ayo on a Two-Way deal. Kind of a weird few days in Chicago. It seems they are going "All in" to build what appears to be a very good, but not quite championship level team. IMO they are headed for NBA purgatory. Too good to get into the lottery and not good enough to win it all...

I believe that's the plan unless/until someone gets injured. With Lonzo's history of getting banged up, seems like a good plan.

I guess he isn't in a position to take #11 from a veteran, but I'm still kinda surprised a little deal didn't get done. 12 is not a very cool NBA number, but any number will look good on Ayo playing in the NBA!

Come on now, NBA purgatory was the last decade of GarPax like picking 7th overall 3 years in a row. They are bringing the fire back to Chicago, will be a playoff team at worst, top 4 seed in the East at best, with a chance to make some noise in the playoffs. They built a really solid roster. Chicago has nearly instantly turned to a free agent destination which it was the furthest thing from during the near 2 decades of GarPax

It looks like his regular season number is "TBD."

I appreciate what they are trying to do. They are definitely going to be A LOT more fun to watch, and not just because my favorite college player in the last decade will be on the team. (presumably... in some capacity) It's a quality squad, with good depth. Is it enough to get out to the semi's? I'd still put the Bucks, Nets, Sixers, Hawks, and Heat firmly above them. I could probably even be talked into the Celtics...

Nets, Bucks, Heat I'd say for sure are a tier above, think realistically they will battle with the Hawks, Sixers and Celtics for the 4-6 range in the East. We'll see how it plays out. Give me this 11 out of 10 times over what we've had for the past 8 years. I'm predicting 50+ wins

Get to the playoffs and anything can happen. Look at the Hawks this year. And this Bulls roster has A LOT more talent overall than last years Hawks squad IMO
