I think Ayo's work ethic and attitude are gonna be what gets him over the top. I see him as the guy who takes input from his coaches, molds his game to what the NBA wants from him, and does everything he can to add value. Hoping it adds up to the long and lucrative career he deserves.
Derozan*Looks like the Bulls saved number 11 for Javonte Green's return.
yup, I stand corrected...11 seems to be a popular number...Derozan*
He’s clearly a big Ayo fanyup, I stand corrected...11 seems to be a popular number...
Yeah, he had always worn #10 before, but the Bulls retired that number (Bob Love), so being a big Ayo fan he chose #11.He’s clearly a big Ayo fan
We lucked out on his return...he could be playing G team/2 way this year.Ayo is just not in the right mindset today. He's had lots of looks today and not hitting. I know he can do it. He needs to remember there's a chip on his shoulder.
Watching summer league, Kofi would completely dominate this.
Yeah, in past games he didn't get chances to shoot. This game he really did. He had some completely open shots. I know he's under a lot of pressure. I'm really rooting for him. He just needs to make the team and get a contract. He's got to show the Bulls those flashes of brilliance, even if he needs some development. We lucked out on his return...he could be playing G team/2 way this year.
Ayo not playing impactful, believe he needs structurethat the summer league lacks.
Hope Ayo got the 4 year deal. I assume at some point we will know.
Not a whole lot.2 yr $2.48 mil guaranteed. It appears that he got the shorter contract according to the article compared to a 3 or 4 year contract they also had available for the other draft pick, Marko Simonovic.
Shoot! 2 million dollars! I'd take that in a heart beat! Not a whole lot.
Sure, but in NBA terms it's chump change. In fact, it appears that if you take the league minimum for a first year player, and add the league minimum for a second year player, you get right around what Ayo is making over his two years.Shoot! 2 million dollars! I'd take that in a heart beat!
Minimum or not, it’s guaranteed, and that can’t be said for a decent amount of second rounders.Sure, but in NBA terms it's chump change. NBA sets minimum salary levels for 2021-22
Undrafted free agents and second-round picks are often recipients of minimum-salary contracts, but there are plenty of veterans who end up settling for the minimum, too.www.yardbarker.com
For sure. Just still a shame he slipped out of the first round, and that the Bulls prioritized Simonovic for the longer term deal.Minimum or not, it’s guaranteed, and that can’t be said for a decent amount of second rounders.
Makes sense from Bulls perspective. Lauri wants out and that is a position of greater need for them. 21-year old 7 footer vs. 6’5” combo guard where you have a lot of depth. 2.5M guaranteed for 2 years ain’t a bad starting place. Happy for him!For sure. Just still a shame he slipped out of the first round, and that the Bulls prioritized Simonovic for the longer term deal.
