Honestly, "insiders" is almost a controversial term nowadays. But, it is pretty obvious that 0440 has people that tend to know things and pass things on to him. Who knows what it is, but it is clear that he is in the know.

That doesn't mean that he never gets anything wrong, btw.

The information is only as good as it is in that moment. The shelf life is dependent on the whims of teenagers. Fickle, fickle things those are.

It's just funny when someone refers to it as a "direct source".

"insiders" have been both right and wrong. Perhaps sources aren't as "direct" as some people might think.

Well, realize that people get incorrect information as well or that information, in getting passed through various people, gets distorted.

I love actual recruiting news. I actually don't mind speculation, although the clueless variety isn't worth much.

I can generally do without Booms and the uplifted arms of Chief Illiniwek.

Knowing something in advance by hours or even days doesn't have much importance to me.
