Doesn't matter if it's Oates, Daryl Hall, or Todd Rundgren. The kids are wearing a Bama uniform.
I had a Todd R. album when he was in The Nazz.....................years ago.........................the ex burned it along with around 50 other albums.....Thats a fact......

I’m not 100% sure what this means, but it’s the creepiest thing I’ve seen in about 6 months so I liked it.

For being a football school, Bama basketball certainly recruits at a high level. Anyone but Kentucky, Duke, or UNC would be envious of what they've brought in.
But they don't have a Kofi!

Hard core. I doubt too many people even know about Nazz. I still have my 2 Nazz albums.

It's Oates, not so much Bama.
Oates helps but Avery Johnson was recruiting pretty well at Alabama too.
Alabama is a football school and always will be but that sure helps finance some other things. Alabama has committed to their basketball program. I am not sure how each school keeps their financial numbers, but it might be surprising to know that only 4 schools in the nation spent more on basketball in 2020. (Duke, Kentucky, Louisville and Florida State) A few years ago, Alabama also announced a 10 year plan to upgrade multiple athletic facilities. If I were a recruit, going to Alabama would be a non-starter, but if the facilities are nice, they are putting a few guys in the NBA and the salesman makes a good pitch, they'll get guys.

The way they are recruiting, they'll likely be putting guys in the NBA. Some of their recent recruits are likely one-and-dones.

They already have been. Two guys drafted this year, one a one-and-done at the #12 pick (Primo) the other with pick #35. And they had someone drafted #13 in 2020 (Kira Lewis Jr.)

It's sort of a cycle - you bring in top-rated recruits, they're one and done, which attracts other top-rated recruits.

Underwood and the staff have done a great job winning with recruits ranked 30-100 and too many one-and-dones can mess things up. But it would be really nice to join the group of teams that regularly get top 10-20 guys.

It's not just those guys. We just lost out on Corhen, who's ranked in the 80s or 90s and is not likely a one-and-done, because FSU's track record of getting guys to the pros won the day.
